Hey bro, I was going to buy this about 6 months ago and the guys at the PC shop stopped me and said that I would be wasting my money. The worst cooler and supposed to be a competitor to the i70c cooler from Cooler Master. I have the Cooler Master one and it does a decent job and easy to install. Keep up the great work bro.
I70C.. i akso have it in my test rig and its a ok down facing cooler for its price. It has a copper base and a taller design so it should clear all ram slots. No rgb.. if you are after performance skip all top coolers and go for cheap side 2 heat pipe side cooler.
The CPU cooler is fine when used with a proper CPU it's rated for. Ryzen 7 2700X 105W CPU vs Thermaltake UX100 65W CPU Cooler. It was obvious this wasn't going to work even before he started any testing. He is testing it against a part it was never designed to work with or cool.
Im pretty sure this was designed to be used as an alternative to the stock Intel cooler, for non-k series processors. It says right on their spec list that it has TDP limit of 65w - you can see on your screen that the 2700x is a 105w processor. Its no wonder you saw the temps that you did. I still liked the video. @@marchfifth1754 Again, it's not nessesarily made for such processors. How I see it, it's meant for Ryzen 3 and Intel Core i3 (and low spec i5) processors, not a Ryzen 5 5600X which already comes with a better overall cooler.
@@marchfifth1754 Actually Brad is right. It's a cooler designed for a TDP of 65w or less. It is not meant to keep your CPU super cool but, to COOL enough to keep you from hitting TJ max ( 95°C ). This cheap cooler does just that for processors that operate at a power limit of 65w or less. If you allow your chip to auto overclock, chances are it will start to suck down more power than 65w. So it heats up, when it hits a thermal limiter, it drops the power and clocks to reduce the temps. Pairing this with a Ryzen 3 part, it would probably have some head room for overclocking.
i agree with you regarding the noise and taking up slot of ram space. if only i knew few years ago when i did my build. not to mention it does not cooling better then the stock cooler would do
I'm running a i-7 cpu with MSI board. I have no issues with heading and i can sync the lighting with my board and the fan runs automatically according to temps. I love this product. But i also don't run max settings on anything. Could be why I'm not getting as much heat as others.

@@Olie956 Hey thanks for the comment. Funny thing is i had to change out this cooler. I was getting too hot as backwards as this may sound. Ive upgraded my cooler now to a bigger cooler now. I though i was ok until i installed a program to monitor my Computers data. Come to find my cpu was adverging around 75 to 92. Ive gottent them temps back down to 60. New cooler and reduced the CPU Mhz a bit. Computer is running fine with the reduction and new cooler. Thanks

This is a joke right. the test approach is totally wrong. this cooler is rated for CPU up to 65 TDP. the test in using Ryzen 2700x that is rated as 105 TDP
1. smart person would look at the base before buying it. 2. it has NO copper, so its not for 65W cpus. 3. this is for 35 watt cpus regardless to what they say its good for. 4. since it has no copper, its not for overclocking.

This fan is supposed to be whisper quiet - so much so you don't know it's there. Instead, it's so loud, it makes jet engines feel inadequate. This fan is so loud I don't want to use my computer. It's driving me mad. This video doesn't do it justice. Maybe something is wrong with my fan, but you can hear it from different rooms and even different floors. It's like the fan isn't balanced correctly or something. I just contacted support. Wish I would've done so earlier.

to be fair about the ram issue there, it sort of isn't "supposed" to be an issue for most people, and just is in specific situations like yours. otherwise, the cooler will totally clear the edge ram stick on most boards with generic sticks installed, or sticks that are smaller height or without heatsinks and stuff. sure this can suck, however, most people shopping for a sub 20 dollar cooler, by default most likely will not have such ram or worries, if that makes sense. so yeah, i do agree it's lame and horrendous, however yeah, the people it was sort of designed for it's not a huge issue. otherwise good vid.

Your motherboard either needs an RGB header or you need an RGB Controller hub that you can install via one of the motherboard's internal USB connector's.
This was to replace stock so it isn't for your setup but it was good for my needs (at first). I bought it 6 months ago and yes it's loud but did cool my computer down better than stock. Loved the RGB but died after 6 months and now just loud, sucks! Can you recommend something similar but quieter with RGB at the price point or higher? I have an older Intel 1151 motherboard.
I got stuck with this POS on an ABS prebuilt too. Could barely cool my CPU and I would idle at 70c lmao. So difficult to uninstall and the RGB died after a year.
I bought a prebuilt pc, everything in it was quality, I never really looked at the cooler until I was having issues with temperatures in certain games. I looked it up, it was $20! WTF! You would think they would've just kept the wraith cooler. I ended up buying a NOCTUA cooler.

He reviewed the item incorrectly. His processor is 105W by default with boost behaviors that will take it further than that during the boost period. The cooler is designed for 65W parts, operating at, or under, that 65W power target. His methodology was flawed from the get go.

11400F = 65 TDP. Yes it will work. It might run warm, depending on the CPU Load, but, it's fine. If you use high quality thermal paste and use it often, it should drop over time as the paste settles in. As long as the 11400F doesn't hit 100°C, you are fine. It also says that it's mounting compatible with LGA 1200, which is what the 11th series CPUs use.

yeah my 1800x is at 93c at 75% power limit(6 core instead of 8) and 3600mhz(instead of 4ghs) without a case in a 18c room and 3 fan around lol..

Bad test methodology.
105W CPU vs a 65W CPU cooler.
Of course the cooler wasn't going to be able to cool the Ryzen 7 105W part.
Not the cooler's fault but the guy who didn't follow specifications and did tests using bad test methodology.
