  • Hello guys and I have a new series of videos for you here which I’m calling ‘Airlines and Branch Lines of Cornwall’.
    I flew down on this gorgeous looking EasyJet A320Neo in beautiful weather and, whilst I did encounter one specific issue with the cabin, overall it was pretty good and the usual decent standard of service from EasyJet I’ve begun to expect over the years.
    Later on in the series I’ll compare this flight with the return trip back to Manchester with Loganair and their levels of service both onboard and post-flight.
    In-between flights, I’ll be taking a few trips on selected Cornish branch lines and I can tell you now, there’s some absolute gems down there - well worth a visit I hope you’ll agree.
    Thanks for watching and enjoy the video!

    Hello Mark. I’ve only just seen this video after its been out for a year. Very well done and interesting as usual. I’m just surprised as you are a stickler for detail that you said that part of RAF St. Mawgan was handed over to Cornwall CITY Council, of course its Cornwall COUNTY Council. I think Cornwall has just one city - Truro.

It’s taken me by surprise a bit I must admit as I was aiming for hopefully 1k by the end of the year so I guess I must be doing something right 🤷‍♂️😂. Anyway, plan for the rest of the trip is 2-3 branch lines and the flight back with Loganair on an ATR72. The branch line to St Ives in-particular is amazing and I did have beautiful weather for it. I’m really looking forward to putting that one out. All the best, Mark

      EasyJet don’t have any turboprops unfortunately. They do a lot of these domestic routes with A319 & A320 like Birmingham to Glasgow to Belfast to Bristol etc - all around half hour flights. Watch this space though Nick because my return flight is on an ATR72 with Loganair. Cheers for the comment 😊👍

    • @CreativeEm
      @CreativeEm Před 2 lety +1

      As I understand it, Nick, a lot of easyJet's UK flights are used as positioning ones for the aircraft before onward travel to Europe. Or, indeed, vice versa as was the case with this rather dirty bird

    Hi Mark, thanks for the video, ut was really helpful as I'll be flying home from Uni in Manchester in July, taking this exact flight with Easyjet so its helpful to see the whole experience!
    To answer your question about RAF St Mawgan, I myself have taken off and landed many times from the runway in a Grob Tutor, which us ironic as I previously stated as I've never flown commercial, only in military aircraft. The base is still heavily used for training by the RAF and is mainly used by the Air Cadet squadrons nowadays as the wings main headquarters. The air vase is situated to the left of the runway as you come down, whilst the airport is to the right. Hope this helps!

    Hello Mark, I am flying Manchester to Newquay on June 5th. Is there a taxi rank outside the airport or do you have to dial a cab? Airport looks small and very chilled :-) The plane should have been cleaned; it looked in an unclean state. They wouldn't have gotten away with that during the COVID year in 2021 surely?
