  • Dr. Andrew Nixon is a Consultant Nephrologist and Supportive Care Lead in the Department of Renal Medicine, Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Honorary Lecturer at the University of Manchester, UK. Andy graduated in 2009 from the University of Edinburgh. He was awarded a PhD by the University of Manchester in 2021 for his thesis: ‘Frailty Assessment and Intervention in Chronic Kidney Disease’. Andy currently co-leads an NIHR Programme Development Grant informing the development of a study evaluating comprehensive geriatric assessment in the nephrology setting.
