A quick run through of the samples/settings I've been using on the Alesis Strata kit. Hope this helps anyone trying to dial in tones, and feel free to ask any questions in the comments.
This is sick. Just got my kit last week and have been messing around with stuff constantly. Def like the results you've gotten here. Also, is that some sort of sound proofing you have under your pedal? I'd be curious to hear about your setup for that as you've clearly spent the time to sound proof everything.
Thanks! And yeah I’ve made some tennis ball risers just for the pedals. I used 1/4 inch mdf boards and cut tennis balls in half and screwed them into the board. It seems to reduce the vibration into the floor a decent amount.
Nice man! I just bought an Alesis nitro max cymbal to use as a spash above the rack toms. You can get gibraltar clamps to mount the cymbal on the rack. Then planning on using my old Lemon cymbal for cymbal stacks on the far right. This kit is so fun. I'm obsessed 😄... The main thing I'm struggling to do is isolate the rim triggers in the stacks section in order to add effects. For example: I tried adding a tambourine to the rack tom rim trigger, and also add reverb to it for our church kit setting, but it would either add reverb to the tom, or would make the drum not trigger anything altogether when I restarted the module. Any who, not a big deal, that's the one little thing I wish was easier to do. They may just want me to buy that alesis multipad, and that's why it's so hard to do it. 😅
I might add some pads for splashes for sure. And interesting to hear about your stacks, I’ll have to mess around with it and see. Because I’d like to add some 808’s to the rim of the floor tom with extra reverb. But maybe you’re right and they just want more money from us lol
Great video dude! What is the size the entire kit takes up roughly? I can’t seem to find any dimensions online anywhere to determine if it will fit in my current space.
What hi-hat stand are you using? I bought a Roland RDH 120 and I cannot seem to get the hihat to sound right (even after calibrating and tweaking pedal bottom and top)
@@vonbleak101 for what you get for the price yeah I’d recommend the Alesis. The samples included in this kit are very versatile and with all the tweaks you can make on the module, you can get any drum sound you want
This type of video is so helpful. Any chance you could do one showing all the samples in the module by type? I'd be willing to toss you some $ if that would help.
For the tweaks tab on the toms, all I have adjusted is the attack and dampening. All the toms are set around 30% attack. Cymbals don’t have many tweaks at all except volume adjustments
@@Punisher_JKU the high toms are around 20-30 percent and then the floor toms are around 40 percent. To get them to be more crisp I boost 2.5 - 3k a decent amount to get that attack
Nice dude!
Been looking for videos like this. Just got the prime the other day. So much to dive into with this module, it's insane.
Keep em coming!
Great Job Bro !!! Yeah You Dialed in Some Nice Ones Here.. And Killer Intro ☺☺😎👊💯💯 Thanx for The Demo Upload ☺😎👊💯
Sounds good man. I haven't even scratched the surface with he FX, just been using the Texas walnut kit mostly. I need to dive into it more.
Yeah, I still have a lot to discover with the effects as well. Making user kits on here takes a while haha

Thank you!!!
Thanks for coming from TikTok. Also, just wanted to add that in some of my videos I’m using a different kick, it’s the Cue 24” kick.
Great video dude!

I can’t seem to find any dimensions online anywhere to determine if it will fit in my current space.
Thanks!
That really depends on how wide you set up the rack. Right now mine is about 7 feet wide and 5ish feet deep.
Thank you for the reply. Really helpful as this confirms I cannot fit this into my drum room comfortably.

I’m using a pdp 800 series 2 leg hi hat stand. Haven’t had any issues with the calibration or anything with it
why would the hi hat stand matter it just moves it up and down...
Can you import your own samples? Like if I wanted to import some samples from Matt Halpern?
Yeah you can import your own samples
been looking at this kit for my church what would you say? there's a very little amount of content on this set so far.
I think this kit would be great for that application, the samples in the kit sound great and so far the kit is very reliable
@@toddedrums thxs
How are you finding the response from the hi-hats...?
They seem to work just fine, no issues so far
@@toddedrums awesome man - i dont play metal - but more funk/rock - Would you recommend this over the Roland kits...?

Might post a video like that in a week or two, I’ll comment again here when I post it to let you know.
I wish you switched back to the "Tweaks" tab when going through the toms and cymbals instead of staying on the "Mics" tab lol

@todd_drums how much dampening did you use for your toms? I can't get mine to sound quite as crisp/punctuated with all the reverb added

@@Punisher_JKU yeah of course!
