@@user-jt6qd8ri4l wsm is the only strongman competition that can get someone mainstream fame. If Mitchell hooper won the Arnold’s, rogue and Shaw classic last year but Tom stoltman won wsm then Mitchel hooper would still be a nobody outside of the sport of strongman.
Vytautas lalas won the Arnold’s and was 2nd at wsm but outside of strongman he’s a nobody, even in other strength sports like powerlifting and CrossFit (not really a strength sport). Eddie hall only won 3 international competitions but he won wsm and the marketability of that will always keep it at number 1

Great news! Last years Shaw Classic was by far the best organized and most enjoyable to watch strongman competition I have seen. My wife and I are very much looking forward to this years Strongest Man On Earth!

I brought up valid points, leg press and machine chest press aren’t strongman events and Brian did compete in a competition he organized and chose the events for. I’m not saying he did anything to favour himself but participating in a competition you organized is typically frowned upon

Super excited for this Brian and I’m happy too that you can put 110% into it since you won’t have to worry about training too. Probably already a given, but to mention anyway, please have online streaming available again. Completely enjoyed watching all the events, even the women’s and men’s qualifiers from last year and the grip contest.

I can't wait, I bought my tickets months ago. Last years was so much fun to go to. My only advice for this year is try and get a few more food vendors, especially drinks, last year only one vendor had drinks and their line was huge.

Looking forward to the Shaw Classic this year. The competition is much more a test of who the strongest man on earth is than WSM since WSM has become a weighted cardio comp in the last few years.

@@vanessaruiz4705 Hafthor is not doing world's anymore at all I don't think. Nothing to do really with his strength it has to do with the way the event is ran, and who runs the event.
You guys should do donation buckets for the expo. Due to it being free.. it would be great for fans if they can to give a dollar for admission if they can afford to , or a 5$ bill. Just have 2 people at the gate accepting it for the show. To help grow and give more back to the athletes.

Whoever did the audio, I love that this is normalized (no peak volume spikes) but it's normalized just a little too much (I have to turn up TV volume to double or from normal videos or triple from the loudest videos).
Brian, I regret immensely not being able to see you perform live more, as I became a fan of strongman around 2020. It's very sad to me that I've just seen 3 WSM and 2 Shaw Classics with you in them😢. At least knowing that this is YOUR competition makes it nicer! Hope u can still go for a few records and crazy lifts now that you're not competing anymore! Stay great!

SMOE is, in my mind, the heaviest, hardest, and most smoothly ran top-level contest out there right now. For the most part, the right guys are getting invited, the events are heavy and interesting and while they don't always hit the mark, i love that he continues to innovate building out new styles of events. Especially with how many events there are, 1 try-something-new event is definitely welcome.
Will be going in person for the 3rd yr in a row!! Brian is changing the game.

Hi Brian, been watching and following this event since its inception and consider this the event for declaring who is the strongest man on earth.
Moving forward, would you consider holding a grip event that could crown a grip athlete annually?
Also, is there a way you could work with other promoters to formalize a proper strongman season that considers athletes health and safety as well as enhances the athletes ability to build their brand.
Looking at the different factions of strength and the type of events that include 3 hour one day shows, heavy two day, five event shows and a week long disaster in WSM that no one can watch, how would you structure a strongman season?
Shaw just keeps setting the bar higher and higher for strongman events! Can’t wait to see this in person

To be fair, he was invited, but it was way too late and too short notice, so he had to turn it down. According to Loz and Liz.
@@espenstoro Being invited as a reserve after other 11 americans isnt really fitting for a guy who won Americas strongest, North America's strongest and placed 3rd in Arnold UK. 😄
I just think Shaw is playing it super smart with his comp atleast from a hardcore fan perspective. I get it that for casuals who make up the TV viewership for WSM the names dont matter too much
