I agree. I own a EvoX and my last track day run group was with a 05 Viper, 09 Viper ACR, 2011 STi and 05 Corvette. The STi was the only competition. There was a RX7 V8 swap in 1st place in our class but me and the STi kept swaping places every session. Time difference was 1/10th of a second every time.
Well said and the Evo's and the Subs are so similar it really is all about preference. I have a 2000 Chevy Cavalier 2.2L. I'm selling it, getting a small loan and buying a 2004 Subaru WRX for 8 grand :)
I had an STI WRX WR1 edition.. But doesn't mean I don't love evo. I just prefer Subaru.. But have so much respect for both. Amazing Engineering achievements
I really like the evo and i think its an equal car but (as ive heard the impreza is more "driver friendly, especially for inexperienced drivers") i think the impreza is just the coolest ride you can get (especially for that money dude)

Too bad all the Subi's that race at the strip I go to are Slow lol. 15 second STI's. And usually, the Evo's there are fucking badass. Last time I went the fastest car out of everything there was an Evo VIII MR. And there was an EVO X that ran nearly 11 flat with a horrible launch. 10 second car for sure with a nicer launch. Subi's should stay on the street or in the turns unless you are really willing to dumb money into them to get em fast in the 1/4. At least maintenance is easy... LMAO.

@kewl1123 It's a front-wheel-drive car. They use low air pressure for better grip. It's just creases forming in the sidewall under acceleration.
