This is a stunning deck. They used the Crowley Thoth keywords, astrological, planetary and other esoteric information from the Thoth/Golden Dawn and added it to the RWS. A.E. Waite would be spinning in his grave but I can imagine Crowley grinning from ear to ear. Not sure I have the motivation to get yet another RWS deck but this one is well done. My two problems with the deck is that the backgrounds are all a similar shade of grey as mentioned in another comment - it makes the cards hard to interpret at a glance in a large spread. I would have preferred more variation in colour. Also, there REALLY needs to be more diversity in decks these days, this does incline me to not buying this deck.
Omigosh finally!! Thank you for the flipthru! Looks absolutely gorgeous. Two downsides for me - zero diversity and the keywords that don't vibe with me on the minors. But man, it's really lovely!
@@LunaPrincipe Agreed. Llewelyn is running a 35% off today and I might just grab me a copy. Thankfully the keyword font is quite subtle, so may be easy to ignore. How are you liking the card stock? Looks thicker than the usual Llewelyn stock, no?
@@lyra2282 The keywords on the minors are their names (at least some of them I can recognize). For example, the ten of wands is the Lord of Oppression, the ten of swords the Lord of Ruin, the nine of swords the Lord of Cruelty, the two of wands the Lord of Dominion, the ten of pentacles the Lord of Wealth and Well-being, etc. These are the names originally ascribed to the cards of the Minor Arcana even in the RWS deck.
I just found this deck online but came to YT to confirm this is not a deck a la Tarot de la Nuit portraying victoria's secret models in a Halloween party ;) Thanks the divines it's not! At first glance it looks like a full blown RWS decks until one starts to see the bottom of the cards. I'm ok with that. It actually helps me to remember planetary/constellations associations. However, i noticed the court cards, specifically the kings and knights are more on the golden down side of things. Not a deal breaker.

I am just starting off with Tarot and I was planning to get the RWS and the Light Seer decks but this one caught my eye, not only for the art but because there are the ruling planets and signs energies directly on the cards. Would you suggest this deck to a newbie? Or is it too complicated for me as of now? Thank you in advance ✨
Thank *you* for your comment! I'm so happy you decided to start your journey with tarot! 🌹 So, I'd say that this deck would actually be perfect for a beginner. While it might seem a little intimidating for the amount of info, I think that's the reason why it can be very helpful to someone new to tarot. You don't have to learn everything immediately, so even if you don't recognize or you can't remember some of the symbols, you can take your time and feel reassured that everything is already written on each card. By seeing them repeatedly, you may also find yourself retain some concepts with less effort. Btw, I'm gonna review another deck that could be very useful for beginners, it comes with keywords as well, The Bright Future Tarot. I hope to see you in that video too!
What’s the card stock like I’ve ordered mine but have just found a review saying they are very skimpy on their card stock? So would be interested. Thanks for posting though, they are beautiful cards

Hi Matías, the cardstock is pretty nice, not the best, but I find it better than the classic decks from loscarabeo. The cards bend nicely and are easy to shuffle, they're also glossy, overall it seems like a durable deck!

Per darti un'idea, in pratica è un classico libretto delle istruzioni, in più multilingue, quindi, in poco spazio e poche pagine, deve riportare le informazioni essenziali e non può avere troppi dettagli! No! The kit is made only by the book and the deck in the box, you have to buy the bag separately if you want it!
