- Not a bad coil cleaner. Doesn't seem to be much more effective than the venom packs and it isn't supposed to make more than the venom packs. Plus it doesn't make more bubbles!

It’s not always good to visually see a difference because as I’m sure you are aware - the stronger chemicals etch / eat at the metal of the coils. Over time using those harsher chemicals over and over again will eventually deteriorate the coils. It’s not about making it look shiny or new, but cleaning the coils thoroughly of debris and dirt. Good video though, but keep that in mind when making recommendations. Good luck out there this season.
Okay that makes sense. I guess because I see so many of them get neglected for years I normally HAVE to use the Nu-Brite to see a good difference both visually and in my temperatures. But that does make a lot of sense. I think it also depends on how long you let it sit as well as your mixing ration and how much you use. I've used not a lot of the blue stuff on mild coils and then heavy amounts on caked up stuff. I've even accidentally stripped a ICP coil of the black stuff 🤣 so ive come to see that damage really occurs when you let it sit for too long and you use too much
Nucalgon also makes a couple “green” safe for all units cleaners. I like those since I don’t have to really think about it. It doesn’t make the coils shine like a new nickel or anything like that ✨. But it does remove the dirt, improves performance, and I know it’s not hurting the equipment any. Really don’t use the blue cleaners unless it’s absolutely necessary to clean a really neglected system. Otherwise I use caution and just simply use water or the safer chemicals as a backup.
I like the blue stuff. I use old school pump sprayer.
I use my pump sprayer on the ICP / coils in air handlers since it's easy to clean.
I can only get NuCalgon items as my company only uses Grainger to order spare parts. Sucks but I do get to use all the new products.
It’s a different one that screws to the concentrate bottle. No need to mix with water. If you using the nu-Calgon foam gun with the venom pack, you’re wasting money on cleaner. You gotta get refrigeration technologies foam gun. The mix ratios are different.
Nah, no way their mix ratios are that far off. I know one of them has more settings
@@AB_HVAC they’re bro. A setting is 80:1 B is 40:1 and I don’t remember the other 3. That’s how you get the 9 gallons out of one pack. I had the nut-calgon too, but I like ref. Technologies better.
9/10 i use dawn soap unless its really bad
Really? I've never heard of that being used but then again Dawn really works for a lot of stuff 😅
Viper for the winn
Yessir!!!
Nice work. How do you like that coil cleaner?

I like the refrigeration technologies one but not the NuCalgon. I get more out of it and they clean pretty much the same from what I've seen
Doesn't seem like it foams very much. Nu-brite blue works better, but as you point out, it's strong acid and you shouldn't apply it every year.
Yeah I normally apply the nu-brite on super dirty coils that we don't have previous note on the property for and then from there I use the venom packs
You know that that cleaner has its own foam gun right? Made by nu-calgon
I've seen it in stores but I already have a regular NuCalgon foam gun
@@AB_HVAC trust me bro. They are very different. Now I can tell you that if you have the attachment stick it fits on the ref. Technologies.
Refrigeration Technology's products like Nylog are industry standard.
Nu-Calgon makes whatever the market thinks they want. 50% of what they have made is no longer used.
RT is technican-based.
NC is salesman-based.
I've never met a RT rep. NC reps are everywhere.
RT products have worked 100% of the time in my experience.
I've been using RT stuff for the longest. Only NC stuff I use is the NuBrite
