The story, not the style, reminds me of a tale Bob Dylan might tell.
The saddest thing about this is the fact each of these things are happening in every town, city, and country at this very moment and the cycle continues
Violet's tale happened in 2005 (two zero zero five) and Jenny and Screech's tale happened in 2019, 14 years later. Twins separated at birth and then Screech ends up killing his twin without knowing she existed. Jenny inherited her mother's silence and Screech inherited his father's violence. Jenny knew the streets becasuse she walked them a thousand times in high heels which gives you a clue as to how her life turned out. Another interesting part is when he knocks on his friend Patrick's door and he wasn't there and then calls his girlfriend who said she was busy was because they were actually together behind his back. He's such an amazing storyteller. He calls his musical genre "Bardcore" which is perfect. He's a modern day minstrel or bard...
What?!? Patrick and the girlfriend!?! 😮 I didn’t put that together at all.

I’m guessing her feeling of danger could have also been her “twin sense” that her twin was dangerous. She wouldn’t have known what to call it because she never knew she had a twin. 🤷🏻♀️
It took me 48 reactions and watching the og 50 times to finally figure this out. I love anything and everything he does I felt so dumb once I got it. 😂
The best part of the whole trilogy imo was either at the end of screeches tale when he kicks in with "Richard was an officer who stood..." or violets tale where he comes in with "that's the sound of his fists..." musically speaking that is.
Don't be quick to condemn screech think about his potential societal position. I read Patrick his best friend has been screwing the love of his life which has been tormenting his mindset and thought processes for a long time. Screech has been suicidal for along time and longing to die. He then bumped into jenny their eyes they met. When he killed Jenny he killed himself. He saw himself in his twins eyes. He acted on ferocious emotion. Unbeknownst to him and he ultimately and immediately regretted his actions. Compassion is needed here.
Patrick was with screeches mrs in Patrick's when he was knocking. He knew this deep down hence the persistence in knocking. He then immediately phones his Mrs but she was busy. This certified his deep agonising suspicions hence he went out swinging he effectively committed suicide.
The trilogy is extremely thought provoking. It's a modern-day masterpiece. Big facts hundred percent.
What a great guitar player, singer, rapper, storyteller, actor... Ren is a genius!

Yeah that pause at 16:37 to discuss his route from hospital to the streets barefoot two lines before his reveal threw you but I'm still glad you got it. I was saying don't pause, don't pause and you paused. LOL

As a DV survivor it took me a few times to watch it through. But it is a piece of art that gives a voice to the voiceless and we must protect Ren. He is special

Check out Bob Dylan’s “Hurricane” from 1976. Based on the true events around professional boxer Reuben “Hurricane” Carter. Basically, that song led to the 1999 movie “The Hurricane” starring Denzel Washington as Reuben.
I actually know that one really well and my step father grew up with Carter and is mentioned in his book

In his Live shows he goes into more detail... like Jenny being a street walker, getting stopped by the cop Richard!
Also... Patrick doesn't answer because he's Busy with his girl... the one he calls, being told she's Busy!
He catches them... flips out... kills Jenny, then gets himeslf killed by the Cop Richard, who his girl called after they got caught together!

A quick recommendation to change your thumbnail. Giving away spoilers in your thumbnail for people who may not have seen it and ruin it for them probably isn’t the best idea. Ren spent years on this so that people could enjoy the shock for themselves.

To switch up the vibe go with his upbeat covers busking band - The Big Push (I shot the sheriff, war pigs, white stripes) although their original Sweet Little Lady (acoustic live is fire) or rap - many will suggest his big bangers like Hunger and Loosing it, but I would save it and start with Genesis, Power, Love music pt.3, What you want, Bittersweet symphony (verve retake) and then do the other two.
