Man, I miss Bobby Cox! I was so lucky to grow up watching the 90's Braves and early 2000's. Chipper, Andruw, Glavin, Maddox, Lopez, Smoltz and that's just naming very few.
Yeah, Bobby Cox was one of the best. He was always quick to get in there and stand up for his players when umps pulled that Angel Hernandez shit. Although I do have to say I like Snitker too.
If watched that game, that umpire and the opposing catcher did the fist bump when they took the field again and Chipper Jones was watching it all. Which resulted in him making a complaint to MLB
This joke quite frankly has gotten old. Marlins are thankfully out of that CONVERTED football stadium. Left field was never seated hardly ever because it was just an unwanted area (a lot of open gaps). Also, these are the Marlins. at the time weren't even 20 years old. All of America already had time before the Marlins to choose their fav team if they even like baseball. As a fish fan, at least we have rings in our short existence.. unlike 1/4 of MLB teams who have less or none.
Remember watching this game. I knew we had no chance when I saw Hahn was behind the plate. So the pitch O'Flaherty threw in Boston was a ball (right down the middle) but the pitch to McCann in the other batter's box is a strike. Makes perfect sense according to the Eric Gregg strike zone in Braves games manual.
Sure they should -- but only if they plan on ejecting a player(s). They can never allow themselves be intimidated by players on the bench carping at them. Sometimes, as a last resort, the only way to stop that kind of behavior is to confront them -- directly -- at the dugout itself to inform them that they are gone.
Ray3645 Bill Hohn is an antagonistic umpire. He couldn’t control the games he called. He made outrageous calls and baited players into engaging him for it. @@djswiney6619 you are totally mistaken. You’re thinking of Bill Welke. Bill hohn actually was violated after he threw oswalt out of the game for beaning Michael Barrett near the back of the head. Oswalt screamed you’re next pointing his glove towards Hohn. Inexcusable for him. Suspended 8 games.

+eatnosenuggets He was a catcher for the Yankees, but played for the Braves. From what I know, he has a reputation of complaining all the time.
