I like the shiny finish better. But they both look great.
Love both outcomes, but the rougher look is more fitting imo.
Not for the price they gotta look pristine at all times
@@noone-pg4lrmaybe for dress shoes but for work boots its a badge of shame to have perfectly clean boots
@@A_Man_Of_Culture_ why tho they’re so expensive
@@noone-pg4lr quality of materials, construction method and labor rate for american high skill labor all adding into top tier durability and comfort
both methods came out fantastic. i love the first one because it looks lived-in but well cared for, preserving & displaying the quality. but dang, there's somethin' 'bout dat shine, son! 😻😻😻
wow, didn't realize you can spit shine a roughed up leather like that, loved the shined version better. I think it will contribute to the longevity of the boot as well as reduce staining.
They look great shinned up
Wow what a difference. Cool seeing them side by side like that.
I prefer the waxed flesh look to the rough-out but I don't think I like the shine as much as you did on the wax/shine version. But this is a great primer for rehabbing waxed flesh boots!
That finished and waxed boot looks killer!!!
The other boot looks good too but damn that finished boot looks amazing.
Those are the coolest boots I have ever seen.
That waxed look si killer
Definitely shine
They both look amazing but I'm a fan of patina, the re-napped wins out by just a bit for me.
I prefer the roughed one
I'm leaning towards the nappy tea pull-up given that it exemplifies that are designed to be work boots as opposed to dress. BUT, I like the sole edge treatment of the polished pair. Let a Mac truck be a Mac truck and a Cadillac be Cadillac ... (but nothing wrong with chrome wheels on either)!
SHINEY ONE!!!
Love my ND1
Still babying it around
The shine ✨ for sure. More protection too. IMHO
Love the shiny one.
The shine looks so good
Great video both outcomes looks good. I think would go with the higher shine
Waxed and polished 😍😍😍😍 looks better than a clasic Bentley
I thought I was gonna be more for the nap, but by the end, that shine is Noice!
Shiny
I prefer the one that was re-napped.
I wish I could get a pair of those
Prefer the napped one. Does the conditioner really penetrate well with the old coat of wax on there?
The wax and shine.
I'd go something in between the two finished looks.
Love it! Any advice for getting tack oil (oil you spray when laying asphalt) off of a boot?
Acetone or turpentine? Can / would you need to refinish the spot you clean?
Now do the nd2s ❤️
The left one.
My wife wants to know why her toothbrush looks muddy. What do I tell her?
These were never sold the nd1 only has the lineman patch on the inside, these have it on both sides. I want these...
I didn’t know you could put the wax over the conditioner
Do you clean and conditioner after every time they get wet and muddy or still only every 3 months?
I want a pair of ND1's so much😔
Weston I was told never condition the mid sole because its different type of leather pit tanned leather
I use dye and then either edge dressing or a hard wax.
Where can I find the tool that was used to scrape the dirt out of the sole and to scrape the midsole layers
ND1 prototypes *
Noticed that too the outer lineman patch the ND1 didn't get.
What are those light-brown pants??????
Renapped is unsat
What song is at 4:00
These would’ve looked so much better with a toe stiffener
Not boot trees?
Who goes to these extremes to clean their boots ? I just take the hose or pressurized sprayer to mine when needed … works wonders..
This is standard leather care, good on you with the hose but maintenance is important for sustainability and longevity.
Bick 4 and Smiths? Interesting..
can someone explain what “kilties” are supposed to do?
They protect the thinner tongue leather from abrasion from the laces and eyelets, basically a wear item. They also snug up the boot somewhat if you have skinny legs.
Re napped for sure.
Honestly if these were my beater pair of boots I wouldn't even clean em until the leather really needs some conditioning, but that's just my two cents. Love the fact this video shows how to care for these boots when it's time to do so.
if they're indestructible, why do we need to care for them???
There’s a diffrence between destructiable and clean
obviously they're not indestructible. it's just a catchy name. they're simply very durable and will probably last longer than most boots (if properly cared for!)
Now polish the other one! My OCD is triggered!
Rough look - those boots aren't meant for the parade square
Lots of loose threads . . . you don't get that with JK Boots, because they use a better thread.
What’s the difference in the thread they use ?
All good except applying chemicals by your bare hands. That is totally wrong, not effective method and can cause skin irritation and allergy. You literally rub your skin against chemicals and dirt in boots. You should use soft cotton cloth and some rubber/latex/vinyl gloves (depends on chemicals).
Roughing up seems pointless. Looks like lotsa work, anyway.
I've never really needed shiny boots, either.
roughout look for me 👍
So what did we build in this rose anvil builds video? = nothing lol
