Exactly. Things like the X-Men were already inclusive. Actually, from what I've heard, the X-Men property was actually an allegory for things like the Civil Rights Movement, prejudice, and minority treatment. It was already woke (the older definition of woke). All people had to do was follow the source material, and they get inclusion, social commentary, and, above all else, good characters and a good script.

Ethan Van Scriver was on Tim Pool's show the other day and they were talking about a study done by Lego to find out why more boys played with Lego than girls. The study consisted of 2500 boys and 2500 girls and they apparently used a Batman Lego set. They boys acted out being batman with the figure. Girls played with the figure pretending the figure was herself. So Timmy became Batman for the boys, and Batman became Jenny for the girls.
This explains the Xmen going to the MET Gala or other characters becoming more feminine or just sitting around talking.
Although I can't seem to find an article on that study. Everything I find is about making toys gender free or marketing more towards girls.

6:43 the original X-Men costumes were based around the different powers and characteristics, Beast and Colossus wore minimal clothing because of their hide/armor, Cyclops had the suit and the red visor to shoot his laser, Magneto was an exception with his ‘drip’ matching his need to rule humans and Mutants through violence

In my experience, when you work in a place that has trouble firing people it just means the laziest and most incompetent workers get paid to push their work off onto the good or even average workers. I think if they’d taken 1-2 years to make very grounded Marvel movies with street level heroes mostly, they’d have been fine returning to Thor x GotG: Asgardians of the Galaxy.
But they tried pretend things were getting “even crazier!” with Multiverse stuff, and they managed to creep wokeness into everything, it just left me ‘meh’ on the whole mcu. Im back into sci-fi and D&D.

@@BlackDragoonV7 I was thinking about this b4. Like Hawkeye, Black Widow, Echo, Shang Chi, Falcon & Winter Soldier, all in some very Netflix Marvel type shows where they all end up together as the New Avengers
= to what Netflix did with Jessica Jones, DD, Luke Cage, Iron Fist and Elektra as the Defenders.
More character driven, less… falling off a building and not being maimed.

Disney has essentially become the motion picture’s equivalent of EA: buying up studios just to ruin what made them special and watch them slowly die. Personally, the MCU ended with Endgame for me. But, fact is, Deeamworks has been outdoing Disney, and maybe Illumination, the past year. If they don’t change something soon, Universal may outdo them in theme parks.

These people hate we did all the work decades ago so reinvent the wheel. We've seen it before. The only difference today in the US is the political divide can be wide so some noise makers got a bit too much leeway. Fortunately for the rest of us regulation keeps them in check but they've always existed. Usually in education, politics & public service. They're easily removed due to those regulations if they push their luck. Yes, they get more attention than before but their only tactic is to gather in mobs & scream making them look as bad they are. Even our jobs are protected. Turn your back on them and they wither.

Honestly the American comic book industry was patient zero for the woke virus that's infected pop culture. Almost every publisher has been severely damaged and lost credibility from producing so much crap no one wants to read. Thankfully the infection *might* be clearing but at this point it's unknown if the patient will survive.

I wish they didn't turn him into an absolute clown. He was cool and serious in the comics and Earths Mightiest Heroes but in Endgame and infinity war, his charm of being funny turned into him being a meme when he's on screen, especially his endgame scenes
