I have to disagree Bradley. I’ve driven both enough times and you cannot compare the e92 shape to the F series shape nor can you compare a 6 cylinder to a V8 mate! I’ll admit 135/140i’s are very capable impressive cars though!
@@SOCIALLYDRIVEN I’d agree with you in the F series but I’m referring to the E82 135i coupe with the N54, I sold my m3 and picked up one for a quarter of the price of the m3, and it’s definitely not a quarter of the car, got m3 arms going on it soon too so will feel even more similar, plus I wanted the turbo feeling again. Overall though if the M3 didn’t have diabolical fuel economy/road tax/M tax on parts/fear of it getting stolen I’d probably still have it, was an unbelievable car to drive.
@@SOCIALLYDRIVEN they do have issues with it, the rod bearing wear out over time, I think it's every 50,000 miles it needs to be done, which cost a coupe of grand to do it. If left undone, it could mean engine rebuild, also the throttle actuator wear out over time which is a service able item.
It’s 60-70k miles they recommend. But I have seen bearings replaced after that mileage without any solid wear marks as they was serviced correctly! Luckily I’ve had most the things done but you’ll never be able to buy a v8 again so Nows the time 😎
@@SOCIALLYDRIVEN mate, stick away from the track stuff on videos, do videos of installs on the car that you can do, lip kit/skirts/defuser - internal mods, pov drives going for food and visiting friends almost vloggie, I remember when I discovered your channel and it was very much like that, it was phenomenal content. The noise is what we all come for I think mate! It’s an incredible sound!!
Cheaper option to this for anyone looking is a 135i, I’ve had both an E92 m3 a 135i and honestly on the road the 135i feels almost as special!

Seeing your video, makes me really want to get one, I was on the fence at first because of the rod bearing issue, but that sound omg!
In all honesty mate I think part of it is a myth and can be prevented with regular services etc! But yeah you cannot beat that sound 🤯
