I grew up around here but never went. I took photos when part of it was demolished on labor day and put them on my channel. The enfield square 30 minutes down the road isnt gonna ring in the 2030s, surviving merely on sales from target and gamestop
In case the real estate folks haven't looked malls are not doing too well in 2023 and I doubt if there's going to be a big change by 2025. This location would rate right up there with Northridge Mall in Milwaukee which has been dormant for 20 years. Just this week the state supposedly gave the city 15 million in stimulus funds to tear it down. Alas it's owned by some weird group of Chinese investors who are behind years on taxes and was going to make it an International Trade Center. Those demolition cars will be busy for the next 2 years so ain't! America great.
They call it Progress Stephen. I Remember Growing up in Worcester and the Galleria was the place to be. Steal the quarters out of the water fountains and hit the Dream Machine "Arcade" Then a quick slide down the middle of the escalators on your way out = Oh Those were the days.
Watched a few movies here over the years, with the final one Bohemian Rhapsody in 2018. All ends up in demolition cars, and new pre-demolition takes its place in the land of planned obsolescence and waated resources
One of my friends slipped by here earlier. Was a total wasteland. Now it's being put to shreds

It used to be that malls have a 30 year life span. That was back in the pre internet days. Now it might be closer to 30 minutes.
