Love it! Would like more specs on the engine? 421cc? Race fuel? Seems to run very well, and it's not just a single-purpose dune-shooter. (Not that anything is wrong with those)

Bro that thing sounds MEAN!!! In the best way possible 👍👍👍 I had a close friend who worked at ESR and he told me that flat out , the Banshee can be built badder than all the rest!! Hands down!! So I bought one from a buddy I worked with , it was all done up and I could not believe how much faster it was than my 86 250r was !! No comparison in a drag race . You hit the nail right on the head!!

Im a 250r guy but this build (like all of your builds) is simply outstanding.
Okay that thing is pretty awesome but go check and see how many GNCC championships Banshees won compared to the Trx250R before the four stroke quads took over, in my book is their is no comparison to a 250R, I saw so many Banshees and Suzuki LT quads break down and never finish, the Honda 250Rs will always be the king in my eyes, back in the 90s when we were racing GNCCs alot of people converted those Banshees to 2 into 1 setups, both carbs and exhaust, that seemed to work better in our racing series, keep it up guys enjoy seeing the old quads !!

You know its Fast! When the bike "blurrs" on video. My ATC 330r might have 50 hp and i can bearly hang on (dune shredder). Maybe its the lack of the 4 th wheel that it accelerates so fast but still wouldnt want to line up to that thing! Wicked build for sure!

I raced a laeger protrax banshee for a couple years it was awesome ! One of my most favorite quads ever ! I know you’ll say we were crazy but in the end we put a big bore power valve 250r engine in it . 🤷🏻♂️ that thing ripped !
I gotta ride one of these before I die. 60 hp had me stunned I could only imagine 100 in these 4 wheel machines.

I love this bike. Always wanted a protrax 250r geometry frame for my banshee. The only thing I would change is a stock gas tank. Does Laeger still make that frame?
Keeping a Banshee “on the pipe”, I would think that engine would drain a stock tank pretty quickly on a decent trail ride...

That is definitely a sick Shee. I have always wanted one with the frame that basically converts the suspension over to 250r. Banshee power with 250r handling what more could you want?

@@gegarage6989 it was somewhat of a kit. Laeger made a Banshee frame that you bolted your Banshee motor in. The suspension was all based off of 250r geometry. The best version of this frame went even a step further and used the T-pin spindles (protrax).

The only thing in the same ball park is a Banshee engine swap into late model alum frame YFZ. I cant believe you guys found a clean Laeger Pro Trax Banshee chassis! I know exactly what it is and how rare. Please upload some footage of the Banshee shredding!! Cough ...hmph dunes...lol

In my opinion and stock for stock, banshee and 250r have the best engines so far. In the rest, like brakes and ofc suspension, they are outdated comparing to more recent quads like trx450r, yfz450 or ltr450.
I often see that in our group where we ride most on trails (sometimes with mud). Because they're a bit technical, you can't use your full power so all you need is a good suspension geometry, good tires with low pressure, steering stabilizer... So its common to see a banshee getting some distance behind, unless they've upgrades to keep up or even outperform.

Is it lowered?
Yes the shocks ride low they are called PEP zero preload suspension aka ZPS it is one of the best ATV shocks ever made for racing. They ride lower but without sacrificing travel. You can see the unique shock springs in the video.

Those pipes are made by Dyno Port. that’s a raw finish but you have to keep them clean and dry after each use or it’ll start to rust.
What would be the Price on the Banshee?
Banshee's will always have a special place in my heart!! But Holy Crap!!! Thant bike absolutely Rip's!!!!! I've owed both, I definitely would take the Banshee over the TRX, in a straight line!!! In the woods, well it all depends..hahaaaa.

Would like to know a lot more info on it. how big of a motor. What goodies and compression, What fuel does it use. I had a fairly built banshee with a bunch of money thrown at it (previous owner) and he said it was 55hp. I just don't see another 40+ hp in this ride vs that quad. It is hard to say though! Not hating at all, just curious. I actually hated my banshee. Not a good ride able quad at all.ZERO power down low.It was (fast) but not that fun.Always had to be on the pipe to do anything.Love your channel, you guys do great work for sure!
55hp is a pretty mild built for a Banshee. Race gas 421 will do 95whp, race gas 521 will do 110whp.
@@claudeperron780 Yea I agree. This was also 15 years ago on pump gas and stock bore/stroke.
Only thing I would’ve done different is put nerfbars that have the heel guards. They look sick and prevent your leg from getting sucked into the back tire.
