My name is Giannalberto Bendazzi and I am an animation historian. This collection is named after me. Unfortunately I didn't even know that it existed. I take it as an honour made by some anonymous admirer. It's beautiful to have admirers...

These are the most basic characters in Chinese. Of course there are more to express complicated ideas. But I have to say Chinese is a very ambiguous language and one should depend a lot on the context to understand what exactly one character means, because its meaning varies a lot in different contexts.

Chinese is the most advanced visual language currently in use with 1.4 billon people. Because it involves extensive visual and auditory processing thus leading to a higher IQ. A unique brain wave called N200 only shows up to readers of Chinese characters and does not exist in readers of alphabetic words. Written Chinese is a vision-based while alphabetic scripts are audition-based. Every character is crystallized wisdom. Brain creates language, language shapes brain, brain shapes culture.

Chinese words are symbols, drawings that ancient people used to communicate.
Unlike most societies, the language took letters and became an alphabet.
But in Chinese, the characters remained in their pictures and never created an alphabet from them.
      Hope that helps a little.

btw, there is no Chinese keyboard. An English keyboard is used. Pinyin is used as an input method to enter a Chinese character. Pinyin is the Latin script of the Chinese language. It reflects the pronunciation of a character. It's more or less like romaji (Roman letters) to Japanese.
