    Great video this will really help if I do this to my sv. Did the spacer come with the springs? Looking at product pages I dont see them listing anything about coming with the springs. Thanks again for a great video.

    Great video and good to see sliders and tubes don't need removal from triple and disassembly.
    BTW, how did you re-locate the stock gauge to the new location above the top triple?

    Great vid! First time I've seen it done with the forks still in the triple... every other source says to remove and do it on the bench. I suppose u can leave em in there if you're not replacing the seals. What did u do about pumping the new oil through to get all the bubbles out; and setting the oil level / air gap when forks are at an angle?

    • @5boltautomotive595
      @5boltautomotive595  Před 2 lety +1

      Thanks! I just know they take half a litre of oil. I poured half the oil in, then cycled the fork to get the air out, then put the rest of the half litre in and cycled again.

      @@5boltautomotive595 the recommended oil level will be for stock forks…if you have installed heavier springs youll want less oil in there. Usually a 120-130mm airgap measured springs out forks compressed otherwise they’ll be too stiff

    What size spring did you use? In 185lbs. I need a 90 kg but found a cheaper one on eBay 80kg. Maybe heavy oil. Can you adjust those?

    • @5boltautomotive595
      @5boltautomotive595  Před rokem

      I cant remember what size, they have a chart on their website. only preload is adjustable

      The heavy oil will not make up for a lighter spring. The difference in price of springs won't be worth it. I would get the right springs

    Hi mate how much do you weigh roughly and what were the results after this? I have an 04 and am looking at doing the same

      Hey! I'm 175lbs. It feels ok. It will bump you up off the seat on a hard bump, but overall it feels very planted

    Did 3 holes work?

    • @5boltautomotive595
      @5boltautomotive595  Před rokem +1

      It seemed to work just fine, because I went lighter on the oil. Try it out. It's easy to add another hole and go heavier on oil than take away the hole once its there. 😎

      Great I just wanted to know. I'm deciding if I want to swap a GSXR front of go this way.
