FUN FACT: the master plan for this resort was done by Micheal Graves' architecture firm, Even the main hotel is called Hotel Micheal. The firm also worked on Hotel New York at Disneyland Paris and the Swan and Dolphin.

The Singapore Airport is amazing
I went to Sentosa as a child in the 90s there was barely anything there as it was only being built still but they had the cable car ride.

We were going to stay there in Dec 2020 but covid cancelled it. Next time for sure :). A Universal park in Birmingham is a fantastic idea.

Been to Singapore a few times, on the way to Australia, one of my favourite cities, love it, but not been to Sentosa since 2003, WOW, a lot has gone on there since then, think i'll have to pay a visit, if i go back.

I know you mentioned "Universal Studios England" as a joke, but i think it would actually make sense. England and France is not to far away from eachother so it would be competition to Disneyland Paris, and The London Resort. Also with Harry Potter being situated in England. Funny idea.
There aren’t loads of shops in Resorts World mainly things for kids & cafes we were there last August having been to Singapore 7 times before

Stayed at hard Rock in Orlando last Jan and got fast pass loved the hotel there. This place looks much nicer hotel. I was in Singapore in 1980 when I was in US marines cleanest place I ever saw boogie Street is no more

I've stayed at the Hard Rock in Cancun and I still think it was still called Aventura Palace when I visited the one in the Rivera Maya after going to Tulum

If scooby doo is down when you go, you can always come back if you have the 7 day pass. A day where you go to wet n wild you could pop back in and get some re rides. Movie world has had some trouble with maintainence so I’m just trying to help you guys get on all the rides 🎉

Just found out The Ultimate at Lightwater Valley is being deconstructed, so sad. I'm still gutted the one time you won't filming, you got stuck on it and got SOAKING WET. Best water ride Charlotte's ever been on!
Resorts Worlds Sentosa was designed by Disney Legend - Michael Graves (Swan & Dolphin Resort in Walt Disney World, Florida)
Hotel Michael was named after him. The teal colored domes can be seen inside Universal Studios

Really enjoyed the vlog! I use to be Cabin Crew and Singapore was one of my most frequently visited countries and I have visited Sentosa Island and Universal (the casino there too ha!) so I loved revisiting it.
Just to note that a lot of Asian and Middle Eastern countries don't eat high amounts of pork hence why you see equivalents in they're fast food etc. Singapore has a large Muslim population and McDonalds in Muslim countries would offer chicken sausages as opposed to pork sausages. Same with McDonalds in India, not many beef products and in some areas of India no beef products. Singapore has a lot of people practicing Buddhism a religion which tries to encourage people to opt out of eating meat to not cause harm and suffering to animals. Singaporeans eat a lot of fish too.
To be fair as well, chicken sausages are higher in protein as opposed to pork and is the better option. Singapore is very accommodating to all religions and cultures hence why a casino is there!
Obviously as well the Hard Rock you are staying in is marketed more to an Asian demographic therefore more famous Asian singers etc will be more at the forefront which is why G.E.M has a big display. Would be the same if you went to any Hard Rock in other countries - they will do big shrines to the popular singers and musicians of the demographic it is located in.

Fun Fact: Resorts World Birmingham/Sentosa/Genting etc are owned by the Genting Group. I believe Genting Highlands in Malaysia is their first-ever resort location. Genting SkyWorlds (formerly Fox World Malaysia) is also owned by the same company.

Since your at a Universal property I thought you might enjoy this bit of news Brother. Universal is Opening a family based Theme Park in Dallas area, Frisco. It will be just under 100 acers and possibly Dreamworks centered. Oh, and wait for it, a year round 365 Halloween Horror Nights experience coming to Area 15 in Las Vegas, Nevada! "Indoor" I really think Universal may be stalking you Shawn, they may have a team who's entire function is to monitor your channel, thinking "What would Shawn want? in Vegas?"

Singapore and Malaysia have a big Muslim population and in consideration of that most restaurants don’t serve pork for religious reasons. Chinese places will though just there is a warning to people of other faiths that this restaurant will serve and if they do not eat it they can order another dish or accommodations can be made. It’s the same in India as restaurants will not serve pork or beef for religious reasons.
Please go to a Hawker center in Singapore which is just a food court. Basically each stall is owned by someone different (not company owned) and often you try new things heck even starred chefs work at places like that. I would find a good noodle bowl place or a chicken place and just eat. Besides food is cheap in Singapore. Also it takes up a hour of just down time why not. It’s a good place to just regroup for a moment to get your bearings and make a plan. You skipped out on the Chinatown nyc food hall when you went. It’s honestly 5 stalls which are a sushi place, a Asian bakery, a noodle place, a bubble tea place, and an empty area which is for lease but might be taken soon. The point is try something a bit new yet within comfort zone which a lot of places try to do.

Singapore technically isn’t a country in the traditional sense. It’s actually a city-state which is a very old concept. Basically it is a entity onto itself. It’s only real representation on the world stage is by business only. It doesn’t even have a president, although it does have a government to keep things running. It’s not even in the United Nations. Basically it can govern itself but without a fully centralized government it’s not considered a country. But for purposes of international travel Singapore is considered a country but it’s passport doesn’t have much weight instead residents often get the Malay passport instead. It’s a weird technicality that most people aren’t aware of.
