Is he getting negative comments? I see lots of safety advice which isn't really negative.
Rich check the size of cable from leisure batts to inverter they dont look big enough .Remember the current that can be pulled. Be safe mate

We put slate behind the mppt and dc to dc charger. Best to be safe than sorry. Glad you put the wholes in. We had one under the bench seat and the amount of heat it radiates was unreal. So moved it to a better location

You have the wiring sized properly, the circuits are fused and you have cut-off switches. Good Job!! I cannot wait for your next posting.

You can use a cut off switch once the batteries are full and the switch should just switch to your hot water supply, ive been looking into it myself =]

I really like the neatness. A couple of wires bugged me like the thin red across the batteries i would have gone in across and outbut overall it looks neat. For future big cables i would consider desk insert the type with the cap with a brush remove the cap put the plug throguh replace the brush cap. That heat is going to build up under your bed though not sure if thats an issue or not depends how hot everything gets. Bear in mind a few things. If you cant easily open the back doors while in bed a fire under you could be fatal. If i were you i would shut the doors and plug in a ton of stuff and test it before you box it all in to see how hot everything gets. Once it is boxed its going to get hotter. I would also install a decent smoke alarm under the bed. I would consider pulling the panel and painting it with high temp instead of carpet because i wouldnt think carpet has any benefit but may create some issues. Always consider the what ifs however unlikely they may be.
All I can say is it looks really pretty, I have absolutely no idea about electrics and everyone knows it’s all done by magic. The main thing I guess is you know what you’re talking about and I guess my husband would as he use to be an electrician. But yeah it really does look neat and tidy but I also understand peoples concerns about fire. Take care and I so look forward to seeing it all finished. 💕

Be careful with them dust caps mate. Make sure they’re brass inside. My dad put dust caps on once, had a slow puncture and they’d all seized on. Couldn’t blow it up.

I think you made a slight cock up on the wiring up off your battery shouldn't the cable from the shunt be connected to the other negative battery terminal the way you have it now you will be only using the one battery i may be wrong but worh checking

I have two victron b2b’s, they get hot, you don’t know everything, you need to space it away from the carpet for safety. Why do Victron tell you not to mount the unit on a flammable surface?? Because it gets hot.
Listen to Jarvis, He speaks the truth. I have victron b2b chargers in my van too. They get very hot, that hot you carn’t keep your hand on them. Please for your sake, space it off your board more using non flammable materials
@@dannyboy4186 I used 30mm off cuts of 15mm copper pipe to space mine off my wall, they work slightly cooler now and work more efficiently.
That wiring is an accident waiting to happen. I know you think you know best, but you don’t. It’s also a busbar, not a buzz bar
That dc to dc gets really hot I wouldn’t mount it near carpet
What you have done is a start, but put the electronics on stand offs. Putting heatsinks directly on carpet is a bad idea. It stops airflow. The fins should not touch the carpet at all.

I've just orderd some solar cables that I need to run from the roof into the van. The ones I ordered come with the connectors on.
Is it easy to remove the connectors and then refit them because I need to pass the cables though the 2 small holes on the roof cap 🤔
Jesus!!!!.....and I don't mean the useless Arsenal player, DON'T mount your electricals on carpet, Victron are quite clear about this. And mount the B2B on a spacer so that you get ventilation across the base.

Who the heck ,reckons your electric setup is gonna causr a fire ....
Aslong as that material was fire retardent and you have all the correct gauge ,wire for currennt flow etc ...
And the electrics have suffiecient air flow .. then there ,should not be an issue ... plenty do like ypuve done .... but yeah , fuse behind board...you like a task or two in life eh ...
And if you feel the air flow ainy enough... get a temperature controlled fan.... to circulate as needed ...

Mate, remove that bra it will kill you bonnet. I had one on my evo for about 8 month and the warm/ cold damp material wrecked my paint sooooo bad I now need to respray my bonnet.
