Thanks for subbing! This in Cauayan City, Isabela, luzon. The restaurant is called "Oteps". It use to be a small "palutan" (drinking food) restaurant, but now has improved to a boodle fight/ Filipino cuisine restaurant. Honestly some of the best priced we've seen in the Philippines.
I was born in Quebec and Zarina lived in Alberta before making the move to the Philippines full time.

Taro is elephant ears plant in the US. It’s only decorative here… 😂 i wanted to cook my MIL’s plants when i first saw it.

In the bicol region there is a plant we call gabi americano, it very much resemble taro(gabi) although it is bigger and we dont eat it.Laing is a tagalog word for the bikolano dish , gulay na gabi,(taro cooked in coconut milk

Hi Good Day! Is there any other nearest airport going to batad rice terraces? and how much is the cost of the airfare? Do you have any recommendation where to buy ticket? were planning to go to batad rice terraces this year and i watched some of your videos and then i decided to go there. thank you so much in advance
Your best bet would be to fly from Manila to Cauayan isabela as the drive from Manila to Batad is over 12 hours. If you land in Cauayan its only a 3 hour drive. You can find tourist vans there or even rent a vehicle
