EPB reset with VCDS - parking brake release tutorial for changing brake pads

On certain VW Audi Group vehicles, trying to access epb service mode through 53 - Parking Brake won't work. For these vehicles, you need to access the parking brake service mode through the ABS controller.
Once in, you can activate lining change mode. This video will show you how to do this for Volkswagen, Audi, Seat and Skoda

Hi, i changed the pads on my audi a6, i opened the parking brake and released the piston manually, now i keep getting parki g brake fault on dash. Any ideas why? Thanks

Can I leave the car on if I don’t have a battery charger?

For safety reasons, the engine shouldn't be running while you perform a pad change. A good battery charger is recommended.

Why do in need a battery charger attached???

if you have a healthy battery, you don't need to attach a charger. it's a good failsafe to have in place tho.
