Why does alien intelligence hold such fascination? Can we even conceive of what they might be like? To appreciate intelligent, sentient life in the universe, right now we have only one data point: ourselves. We would love more. Is it realistic to suppose we will find intelligent aliens?
Jill Tarter is the former Director of the Center for SETI Research at the SETI Institute.
Douglas Vakoch is the Director of Interstellar Message Composition at the SETI Institute, as well as the only social scientist employed by a SETI organization.

Unless in our literal backyard, everything is too far away in space and time to hear aliens talking.

It seems to me it is more likely that more advanced living beings should discover us before we discover them. There is an immense amount of time for a more advanced being to have evolved to the extent that they could perceive us. It is likely that in a relatively short period of time, maybe 500 years, we will have the ability to reach out ourselves and make contact with intelligent beings, perhaps even in other galaxies. People object that it is not possible due to the universal speed limit being the speed of light, and the distances are just too great. I see this as less of an obstacle of getting around in perhaps 500 years than it was 200 years in the past at speculating about the possibility of going to the moon. Going to the moon was thought of as impossible, and that made sense. After all, we didn't even have wings like a bird. Today, at least, we have ideas like worm holes that could lead us to having the ability to travel vast distances without being bound by light speed limit. We simply underestimate how much things can change and how much they do change with technology and time. I do find it somewhat troubling that more advanced beings in our vast universe have not reached out and made contact with us.

The truth about about our universe is good enough on it's own as justification for wanting to know it.
We want to know the truth about our universe because it's the truth about universe.

We search for intelligent life because we must, just as we try to increase our intelligence and improve our lives, we try to find others who are doing the same. At this point in Earth's evolution, intelligent people realize that we are limited. We will not find it here. We have to look elsewhere.

The universe is in the galactic measurements and because of this
I believe it is best to advance within the perimeter using a nuclear power engine with a built-in satellite and laser that can be sent to its destination and stop on target and open up and use its electric magnetic proportion system to direct it around in the facility to search for life.
A human lifespan energy drive is only 60 years or more humanity would need to start building spaceships that can support generations of humans and other biological systems to overcome galactic years of deep space radiation rain and radiation clouds and storms and tornadoes because when raw radiation comes into contact with a spaceship it begins digesting things especially if it's forever out in deep space carrying warm bodies, but my point is without the right protection for the outside perimeter and the inside lining, everything inside would begin emanating radio waves and begin slowly disintegrating things under that much pressure.
For better bubble protection. Paint made with magnetic dust and cement made with magnetic dust and wallpaper made with magnetic dust all clothing and furniture have to have a little magnetism to help maintain a constant geometry of flowing magnetism all around the inside and to help keep the radiation out and to protect the electrons inside our bodies.

The architects of our own ancient technology present a challenge to replicate with our current tech, and the data of that history would have earth riddled of several million years of ancient infrastructural evidence. All we have is pyramids, which is the evidence.
We are more than one kind of civilization. We were supposed to advance our spiritual evolution, thus progressing to technological advancements and material technologies... what happened?
    Religion.

4:22 is true. Bible as an example, you can make it into whatever you want - it can be a tool, or can be made into a weapon. Even scientific data, can be interpreted in many ways, either favoring nihilism/atheism, or as an expression of the omniscient and omnipotence of God.
