Watching this video on my granddaughter's tv, where I've stayed the last night and a ½, as my house got flooded from a storm. I have huge pieces of oak logs standing in the yard, one of which washed away. And TULIPS that had bloomed, that were totally under water but still look perfect! Crazy! LOL
I went on hospice Wednesday & have been having to wear oxygen a lot. The firemen carried me out through the water, across 3 yards & a street, & deposited me onto my neighbor's porch. He was able to drive me to my granddaughter's in his monster truck after a bit.
Hopefully "we" will be able to get the big rugs out of the house today. OMLORD, I hate being so physically unable right now!

Thank you . Thank you! I found you 4 days ago just browsing looking for inspiration,.... I kinda wanted to paint, and kinda wanted to veg. Then i saw your tulips and done with acrylics so had to see why it looked like an oil painting . Well, again , let me say thank you for this! I have seriously have learned what I was doing wrong with my blending! But it was your layering of the light source... I feel like an idiot, lol it was an "EURIKA" moment for me! You rock because for the last 4 days i have been painting ! I am actually happy with my end results. I managed to complete 2 paintings that look the way i imagined they would ~ And on the first try!!! I can not say enough how grateful i am to you for making this video and posting this in real time .. I look forward to checking out all of you videos

Enjoyable watch, listen, and learn. (gold Leaf was different than my Gilding Application process, I am conservative w/the leaf, I use the 24K)
A really nice Tulip. Try Peonies in reverse colors with a light source and Gold Leaf. You will enjoy the effect and outcome. Stunning to use with oils. I seem achieve a more realistic light source with oils than with acrylics.

I am excited watching your tutorials. Not only are you skilled as an artist, but you are also an exceptional teacher. I sometimes find myself watching your hand movement which directs the strokes of the brush. You make it look easy. It is extremely helpful when you explain all the details of your actions.
I wonder that your paints don't seem to dry quickly. Do you use a medium that retards the drying of acrylic paints?
I was also wondering the same thing.. my paint drys so quickly.. and his just seems to glide and still be able to blend after... my is completely dry!
