      a lot of the time, police in both US and Canada will still arrest someone even if the victim refuses to press charges. And the local authority prosecutes anyways, and convicts even if the victim absolutely does not want that to happen.
      Because the victim's desire to not press charges genuinely doesn't matter if they already have enough evidence.

      My dad who has Multiple Sclerosis has had them before, he'd end up halfway across town in 90 degree weather with no shoes on (my town is built on incredibly steep hills so that combined with the heat could have ended up a real health hazard to him).

      Naaaah weed doesnt work like that, being baked means you would go up to the window to look at the cakes, see your reflection in the glass, realise other people can see you as well and are probably all watching you because they all somehow know you're high and the police are probably already on the way, then you walk home as quickly as you can, but not so quicky that it could seem suspicious, and then you get home super paranoid, and 20 seconds later youve forgotten the whole thing happened 😂 Loudly smashing windows to enter a shop, then just sitting there vibing before stealing some cupcakes you clearly didnt even really want because you could have eaten them then and there- thats all alcohol lol
