    I also have a G73JH, but it is slightly bulky to lug around, and I'm a college student. Without a backpack, it can seriously take a toll in a computer bag with a shoulder strap. However, it is worth the money. I got mine for around $800 and it is still up to date with the generation of games coming out. It runs GW2 flawlessly and is still good for a few more years imo. The battery life is decent, but like Zybak said, and gaming laptop is going to need to be plugged into the wall to last a while.

    @Deloxic I was not talking to you personally, I was simply just answering the question, which was totally incompetent. SSD is a 399$ harddisk not really used for gaming. Therefore theres no need for ssd in a gaming laptop, ssd is more for video editing and quick memory reading. You can get a better GAMING hardisk for a less amount of money. I didn't mean to insult you in any way, and if I did I apologize.

    @Asdeneder well is there any difference in terms of portability between a 2 in thick laptop and a 5 in one. I mean does that justifies an average of $1000?

    Amazing specs, not so amazing price. Honestly for that amount of money I could buy tickets to the Alabama Rodeo, ride a mechanical bull, start a guitar making business and make a custom computer. Once Razer figures this out and lowers their price on this laptop I could consider buying it. Thanks Zybak for the commentary and the truth!

  • @lamedisease
    @lamedisease Před 12 lety

    That's the thought process you go through (or should go through) with every purchase. How important is this to me really? I saved hard for 3 years to buy my Alienware laptop. Could I have gotten the same performance out of something for $400 less? Sure, but it wouldn't have come with the lights, cool eye candy, or the ease to upgrade by only removing three screws. That's one thing you keep in mind too. The people that have bought this laptop probably didn't do it on impulses.

  • @lol3ndir
    @lol3ndir Před 12 lety

    Cool! No problem! I'm using Asus G73 but for the performance and setups malibal has better customization. If you want try waiting for AMD 7970m its power is twice the nvidia 580m SLI as of now. I read it from a review site. Enjoy!

    i7-2600k OC to 4GHz
    250gb ssd
    1tb hdd

    Your desktop was 2 grand total with pretty high specs.
    But can you take your desktop on a plane?
    Can you take your desktop in to your bed?
    Can you take your desktop in to your car?
    The price for this laptop is insanely cheap considering most Sony VAIOS cost over 3k and don't compare to this.
    Your paying 50% of its price for its portability as well as its performance.

    For switching classes, playing less frenetic games like league of legends and so on i think the extra keys can be quite handy. Honestly do you sit superconcentrated doing something all of the time when you play? No, you die, get to wait a bit and so on. Theyre not "reaction keys".

  • @fireceddd
    @fireceddd Před 13 lety

    I seriously did not believe Razer would charge $2800 for the laptop. As you mentioned, it would be way cheaper to buy a computer with the same specs which is what the makers of the Razer Blade should have thought of. :) Watch in the future for the people who buy that laptop if they can afford it and have to blow out their heatsink once every 3 weeks because of the overheating that little thing will cause. If they dont have a removable spot to open the heatsink, thats major fail. >.>

  • @Asdeneder
    @Asdeneder Před 13 lety

    @will25raiders 1. The processor doesnt make much difference in games on Laptops.
    2. A graphics card power isnt speced at its memory. 3 gb memory are the most useless thing on a laptop
    because you only need 1gb graphics memory for Full HD
    3. The 14 " display is way to little to play games. A 17" is really recommended for Laptop gaming
    4. The Razer Blade is about portability and Performace. Thats why the price is so high . The maker of this video doesnt really get that.

  • @Supersly666

    Also, most gaming laptops that have high-end graphics cards won't be able to run normally without being plugged in. They'll just be drawing too much power - that battery won't be able to provide that.
    Which leads to questioning portability - what exactly is "gamers on the go" ? How often will you be playing that in your car or something? I know with my laptop's GTX580M, I definitely need it plugged in, else it won't provide the top graphics it's advertised for.

    I can't agree with you more. Others might have a different experience but when it was time for me to get a new keyboard I decided to try a razer product. Got a Black Widow Ult and it had a memory problem (wouldn't recognize). So I exchanged it for one that had the "C" key stick and the light go out on it after 2 weeks. Trick me once shame on Razer, trick me twice shame on me. Took it back and got a Logitech. Even the best advertising can't polish a terd.
