  • This is my 2022 Audi S3 Review! In this video, I will give you a full tour of the Audi S3 2022. This is technically a 2022 Audi A3 review. You'll hear the new Audi S3 Sound and see the Audi S3 Acceleration. In the United States, we only get the Audi S3 Sedan instead of the Sportback. That said, the 2022 Audi S3 Sedan has been totally updated inside out. It has a brand new exterior and an updated interior. It also has more power!
The Audi S3 2022 pumps out an impressive 306-hp. The Audi A3 2022 also gets a slight bump in power for a total of 201-hp. If you don't care about going fast , new Audi A3 sedan is the one that you should go for. I tested the 2022 Audi S3 Premium Plus with a few packages that almost make it an Audi S3 Prestige. Let's take a look a the 2022 Audi S3 interior, break down the Audi S3 2022 Price, and much more.

In your video you asked for viewers opinions on both the "Porsche-like" transmission toggle, and the placement of stereo volume in the center console swirling button. I bought the Audi S3 Premium Plus model about 2 months ago and at first I was questioning the transmission engagement toggle. It looks nice, but coming from a 2016 VW Golf R 6-speed, I was well-aware of something "missing". Honestly, I've gotten used to it and it works fine. I'm old enough to remember my dad's late 1950's and early 60's push button automatic transmissions. In the first 600 or so miles of S3 ownership, I've gotten used to the transmission toggle and much more comfortable using the paddle shifters when I want more selective control over the S-tronic DCT. As for the stereo volume knob, I use the scrolling wheel on the steering wheel to adjust the volume and it makes the swirling dervish button a non-issue. All in all, it's a great car, very quick, comfortable and stylish.

Had a 2019s3. My favorite car I ever had. So fast in sport mode. Little rocket ship. Very fun car.

So I've had my 2023 Audi S3 (Progressiv) for about a month now. Launch control was great but it gets old fast. The engine sounds are nice but not necessary for me. The engine quality and feel is so awesome, I never feel as though I'm out classed by any vehicle on the road (yes many are better but it doesn't make me feel wanting another car). There are some issues and things I wish was ironed out or added. I added the B&O sound system, the wireless charger and a few other things but the car didn't come with pre-selection seat memory, rear micro usb c chargers, no heated steering wheel or cooling seats like some vehicles with a lesser pedigree, the electronics are kinda haywire, finds phantom obstructions while driving. The Audi pre-sense is stupid, as is the lane monitoring and auto-start/stop (can't permanently turn it off). Overall, I'm pretty happy with the S3, put some Nokian Hakkapeliitta 10 (studded) winter tyres and now I'm unstoppable in the winter...I drive 95% of the time alone so an S4 or S5 made no sense and the RS are too much for a daily driver (IMO). I test drove the AMG and BMW and didn't enjoy the feel of those vehicles, the S3 gives me the comfort i want with all the power and torque I crave.

@@dirkdesouza5975 The Golf R is sick and I wish they had offered a sedan along with the H/B. The thing about the Golf R that drove me absolutely bananas is that the Golf R has mostly touch screen functions so turning up or down the fan, I'd have to go through a bunch of screens. The S3 has tactile buttons for most of those functions and that was one of the points that had me go for the S3 but there is nothing wrong with the Golf R.

I went to test drive this car last week, and I thought I wouldn't like the new shifter, but I ended up really enjoying how it felt moving it into D and back. It feels really heavy and precise.

Test drove the 2023 other day, with these 2.3 etc to 60 times we get desensitized to how fast 300hp is.

I can’t decide between S3 vs Golf R. Either way, I want them to put the physical buttons and knobs back before I’d get either.

      Golf R all the way.

    • @boodits
      @boodits Před rokem +1

Don't get the Golf R if you want knobs and buttons. To turn the fan off or on or up/down, you have to go through the touch screen menu but if you want a car that crushes all competition for power and torque, Golf R is for you. That car was faster than my S3!

The S3 needs to be lowered abit. Besides that is pretty solid.

Nah… it’s plenty low enough. Lowering is for weirdos who want to scrap their bumpers. Plus looks stupid

    Nice review!
Hate the front end. Looks like they stole the oversized fake vents from the last generation Civics Si.
Last generation A3/S3 was much cleaner.
For design, reliability and price I'd take the upcoming Integra over a 2022 A3 any day. And I can get it with a manual transmission.
And I'd take an Accord with the 2.0 over the A3 as well.

The performance is awesome on this new S3 but the design inside and out is too conservative for me and I'm in my 60s!! 😆 high quality interior is too VW looking too.

It's classy and conservative but aggresive at the same time, that's why this is such a beatiful car to me.

Australian version has most of the things as standard. Options are black exterior trim, heads up display and sunroof.
Everything else is standard here. Must be American capitalism. Lol
