@@Mike-lt6sj the path will be Tesla will make money from cars and use that money to clean up everything and accelerate the world to transition to renewable energy … except tesla everyone is just trying to survive..you can also help humanity by installing solar on your roof top and installing heat pump for water heater dryer and heating the house. Heat pump is just the compressor running reverse. And if you can buy an EV too then use that electricity from solar to power your EV. For 24 hour supply of renewable energy solar + storage will be needed.

Omg! Genesis interior is beautiful, way better than the other two imo. Ford’s looks kinda boring, they need to step up the interior a lil bit.
What's funny is the California Route 1 has, in my opinion, a nicer interior than the GT models which typically cost more.

The Genesis is a luxury brand, Ford is not. The Mach-e actually has one of the best Ford interiors to date though.

If the Mach E had more than 5 seconds of full power it would be really cool. It's honestly such a let down it only goes for that long.
Hopefully they will remove that limit as software improves. It's silly to limit a car to 5 seconds of full power when they know people want to take it out to see what it can do.

The cv gt is defintely faster 😎 they removed a lot of weight on it with manual bucket seats and removing the luxury things. Too bad both these cars have less than 200 mile range

The EV6 GT is going to be the fastest, probably 2-3 tenths faster than the 2nd fastest (model Y performance)
Ford needs to fix that lack of constant full power at all times thing. It really kills the whole "GT" part.

The Mach E is designed to have full power for only 5 seconds after that the car slows down substantially. That’s why it’s gaps them on the take off but always loses the race.
Literally a Model Y with AB will smoke these two .
The Model Y Performance has 450hp and 471lb/torque vs GV60 483hp and 516lb/torque with "boost" mode (last 10 secs and can be continuously reactivated). But, of course, the GV60 is a luxury vehicle and isn't designed for the most optimal CD: 0.29 vs 0.23 for the MY.
Model y performance is slower than a gv60 bro lol. MYP runs 12.1 and gv60 runs 11.9

The new Kia ev6 GT would wipe the floor with them all lol, that genesis looks beautiful inside , be my pick out of the ones in this race, the Mach e GT looks fine for first 5 seconds or about 75 or 80 mph then it cuts power to save battery so be no use on a track lol, I think for us in UK it be fine but for autobahn it be no use, hopefully ford will address this only 5 second of full power issue an give it full power constantly, big thumbs up for the genesis it's stunning 👌👍🏴

Nothing to do with over heating. It's to maintain battery life at 70% reducing the need to replace batteries and keeping it a viable option for the pre-owned market. Most owners will use a 5 second burst to enter an interstate or pass another vehicle. Not for drag racing. I believe that Shelby may introduce a performance Mustang Mach E GT without that program.
My Genesis 5.0 is no match for the Mustang Mach E GT. However, seeing that the GV60 can take care of it, I can still sleep well at night. J/K🤣

You need to research how the Mustang Mach E GT battery system works. It's set up for rapid acceleration of approximately 5 seconds for merging on an interstate or passing another vehicle, then drops to a lower power to preserve the batteries life at 70%. This keeps owners from having future battery issues and keeping it a viable pre-owned vehicle. If you want to see what Ford produced in high performance EVs. Watch the wheel standing EV Mustang Cobra Jet and Mach E 1400 make 1/4 mile passes. Considering battery replacement can cost as much as $20,000. I would rather have the Mach E battery saving program that saves the batteries.

Was that with regular power or higher power. With the 800V architecture, it charges fast if you have the fast charger. 38 minutes vs 18 minutes for mustang to gv60 for both from 10-80%. Egged with the Ford 240v, still much slower than genesis

I’ve seen reviews and numbers that shows how the Mach E suddenly looses all steam in higher speeds. Ford is making a mistake in not giving the Mach E full power in higher speeds.
They could have more than 5 seconds, but the battery will overheat and explode

Their batteries can't handle the heat well. Cylindrical cells have the advantage of much better cooling, so higher performance potential. Odd that they didn't use a performance Y.

I'd take the Tesla any day. The Tesla charging network makes all the difference and the performance and range are unmatched.
To say both of the non-Teslas were the performance version, the non-performance Tesla still held its own.

Something is up with the GV60 / or boost mode wasn’t used - it’s been down to 3.4 seconds in Testing. The lowest the Mach E GT PE has been is 3.6.

The Mustang's launch has got to be nasty. Considering I know how quick the Gv60 is, it's amazing how badly it gets blown out from a stop. But it's got some speed limiter on it by the looks of it. (I know they also tone the horsepower down after a launch or something) whereas the Gv60 clearly has a higher top speed.
Mustang's electric vehicle technology is very low.

Does pushing the cars like that have an adverse affect on the life of the battery? I mean it creates more heat right? I assume that is a bad thing. I have a Mach-E (non GT) but the GV60 is on the top of my "other/next" BEV. I don't race or drag. In fact, I rarely go over 70 mph during the week. What's funny is all three cars likely accelerate faster and more smoothly than a comparable ICE model. The speed is nice but I think the smooth is what I like better.
Accelerating hart in an ev has no adverse effects in the battery because the system will cool it if it get's too hot or if that's not enough it will cut power. Only slight negativ effect is the increased consumption and there by the need to charge to Battery more often, so if you're doing this regularly you're battery will degrade more quickly, but if you rarely doing it you won't notice anything negativ.
So don’t give the mach e full power until the end to save that max hit for the last 5 seconds
You say tesla model y "dual motor" but you don't specify long range or performance model. I don't believe that's the performance version
Ford limiting and tapering down the power of the Mach-E was probably the greatest recent example of bad decision making from big auto. What were they thinking? It's the performance model and it's as fast as a Ford Focus above 70mph

I'm thinking it's the traction control. Disabled it, and all the power will come out at once. I wouldn't recommend doing that if you don't want to go sailing into the field.
Not sure if it's a good comparison if you use the slowest Tesla Model Y, which is also cheaper than the others. But I guess you know what the outcome would have been if you took the performance version.
Sam, thanks for bringing us this test. A great matchup here. I am glad you used the Model Y dual motor instead of the Performance model. The Performance model is too fast for this matchup. Did the Model Y have the “Boost Pack”?

Probably not on the Y acceleration boost, it’s almost as fast as the performance. I have it on the 3, and on a roll we are tied, the performance is quicker out of the hole by .5 seconds

nowaday many ev has boost mode which is better. if car has 1000 HP does not make sense unless u drive on Racing track. if u drive 1000 HP AND USE IT on highway, that mean u have a death wish. so to change the lane fast or to overtake ,the boost is enough
I was so excited about the EVs that Ford had planned, but then Ford did what Ford does and screwed things up. The Ford Mach-E is a wiring and plumbing mess; it continues to have electrical issues, the price has jumped, and the GT gets stomped by a non-GT GV60 and a non-performance Model Y. Then there is the Lightning. Ford has underwhelmed in the range department; the price has raised by nearly $10,000 on many models when options are included. This was before Ford even shipped 15,000 units. While telling even day-one reserve holders, including myself, they would not honor the original price. I've owned several Fords, but I'm done with them. Thanks for the reminder about how much Ford sucks.
