What a fun season

My problem with season 5 was as soon as it came out, or around the time the cross-play was implemented, I keep dc'ing all the time, and often have to keep trying to find a lobby/match and keeps giving me a error code. I have to restart the game to try and get it to work. Now it's been annoying to even try and play, let alone get stomped when you do get one lol. I know I'm not the only one, but seems to be worse on Xbox one.

@@die_cast9420 That's what I have. That's why I know it's bad. It's more common for error to occur than successfully connecting to a match. I spend more time restarting the game that actually playing it. All they do is "We'll get to it eventually" and their scheduling gets them to only focus on updating things every new season(More or less.) But yet they want their monies $$$ and people buying shit in it, so tells why the store ALWAYS works.

I cannot fathom how worse it would have been without crossplay... yet here we are in this situation.
Goku Black and Zamasu truly felt powerful in the first month with the level 2 counterplay until players started to figure out his flaws, meanwhile older raiders are only getting worse it feels like minus Broly to a certain extent.
It feels like we rarely get close games unless raiders do not want to end the game too early by blowing up the Super Time Machine.
The amount of hours needed to rank up with a decent winrate is nuts, I'm not gonna have the patience to play everyday for hours during my free time if its still the same. I couldn't even bother playing Raider with how worse I've gotten in general, a few mistakes that can be costly and not liking Goku Black playstyle.
Better see some shakeups for 6th season, at the latest second aniv or else...
Yeah the lack of close but fun games this season is crazy
Personaly i think they do not need to bring back rank matches. What they should do is do a leaderboard type thing like in xenoverse 2. You have to keep playing to reach a certain requirement on both roles. And the top 3 will get a little extra. That way the game can still be somewhat competitive but still fun AF without worrying to lose so much

Season 5 is def not the worst season, season 1 was horrible, more than a month of delay(was the only season i quitted for a month) and season 3 felt worst than season 5, especially with the introduction of Region lock and a month of another delay.
Was it added late into season 3 because I remember playing with my American friends in that season even though I only played like 4 games back then

Jaco ship and memories of battle were big issues with this season which just added to broken things survivors already had
Level 2 strat is boring as hell but i dont blame them at times
Facing goku black vast majority of games
The connecting to lobby issues and some games had the raider and timer frozen leaving the survivors to just sit around for a very long time in till people left the game

Bad rank system i hated winning 5-6 games as survivor then losing one causing me to lose all that progress
Now of course there were good things as well and had fun on a bunch of occasions but damn i agree this was the worst season i remember it didnt feel this dry near the end of season 4

-Adds coastal lock on top of existing region lock
-Worse matchmaking as a result
-Worse in-game performance (i.e. frame drops, desyncs between platforms)
-Fucked up hit detection between platforms
-Introduces more game breaking glitches
-Nearly every other problem from previous seasons still persist here & respectively are amplified which probably wouldn't have made most players aware without ranked
TLDR Decent start, bad outcome, & more disappointing to me than Season 4 already was. I still hate where this game has headed & I've lost all hope at this point. If Season 6 doesn't do something monumental about the lack of balance, polish, & crappy matchmaking, that's when I quit.
Also I like Warrior of Hope, it's a double edged sword with an actual downside. Pairs well with souls of course bein the cracked passive it is, yet gives me something to work with when I'm in a newbie/unreliable player lobby when they get themselves killed too soon or clutches up near the end.

Honestly I feel like the season had a pretty good start but it seriously got more and more boring as time went on. I've basically completely stopped playing Breakers just cause of how bored I got of going up against Goku Black all the time. (and if it wasn't Goku Black it was Broly) It just felt stale and dragged on forever, Hopefully next season will be more interesting throughout the entirety of the season and not just the beginning. But perhaps that's wishful thinking on my part.
