I can close my eyes and drift into space with this machine. The tones are so warm and ambient. These machines are forgotten. It's nice to see them come to life. I'd love to hear some incredible synthwave tracks being made with this.

yeah..love this machine..The Orchestra 2 have a lot sound modulation options for a string machine...and like other italian synths from that era..sounds lush and unique..unfortunately they are fragiles..and fixing them is really difficult..so having them in mint conditions is a miracle🙃
@@Napalbe yeah I had to fix one the same just in blue and black case as the OR-400. I fixed everything except the attack on the envelope which I could barely comprehend how it even worked.

I had one of these in the eighties. What you see is what you get, so sythesis is very limited, but the strings are gorgeous. Sadly mine self-destructed during a gig in London at the end of 1989.

You really make this instrument shine man, what a great sound! I found one, owner is asking 950 euros for it. Is that reasonable?
Thank you Ivar! Siel stuff is always inspiring... this Orchestra 2 is one of my favorite of the Siel Family...if it's in good conditions and perfectly working..950 is a great price
950 euros is a TERRIBLE price my friend!
A year ago I saw one in mint condition selling for $200. Another for $320.
It’s a GREAT synth but it is not a $1,000 synthesizer!! That kind of price… gets you into the league of like SH-101, Pro-One, MS-20, etc, so many more.
Just be careful buddy. Maybe you want it so bad price doesn’t matter? I’m sure Ivar is a wonderful bloke, but I had to disagree with his estimation when you asked if 900euro is ok.
I’ve owned literally over 35 synthesizers and still have 26 (hopefully forever). You need to learn this VERY IMPORTANT concept… Is the synth you desire an actual 900euro synth? I’ve been around long before collectible synths were cool and pricey but some of them like the Oberheim 4-Voice IS DEFINITELY a 900euro synth. The Roland System 100 (green one) is definitely worth that. Here are some great synths that I DON’T think are worth that (I own all of them); SH-101, wouldn’t want to live without it but would NEVER pay $900 for what is really a $350 synth MAX. Pro-One, probably my fave mono-synth but once again, it’s a $450… maybe $500 synth. In the end it’s obviously your choice. Great thing about capitalism is you can do whatever you want even if you know it’s foolish and you’re paying WAY above market. I’m guilty of that. When you JUST HAVE TO HAVE SOMETHING and you’re drooling over it then I’d advise to pay whatever you have to to have your dream. Not very good advice economically. More like if you have the money to buy that magical item/synth even though you know you’re getting ripped off, DO IT! Yes I believe in being realistic but if you have the funds and it’s “your dream” I would be a hypocrite to say don’t do it. But come on guys… let’s keep on scouring message boards, social media looking for those good deals. They ARE out there. ✌🏻

This is similar (kind of) to the SIEL Cruise I used to have. Lovely warm sound off it. I have a Crumar Performer though, that does sound nice.
