- If you didn't think 231hp in the MINI Cooper S JCW was enough, well Mulgari have the answer with their new ICON 02; a complete package for the JCW with 280hp and some specific tweaks coming in for just £36,000. For that you get new wheels, suspension, a carbon front lip, a painted accent pack, and distinct ICON 02 badging completed around the car.
We'll get started with an introduction to the car before a test drive to see how it comes together, then return to Mulgari to show you around the facility and some of the amazing cars that are currently inside.

or buy a new jcw for 24k and go to evolve tuning and get a remap to take it to 290hp for £300.....
thought Evolve ECU Remap Performance only takes you upto either 245bhp or 250bhp depending on the package? 245bhp costs £499 and 250bhp will cost you £655. well it was the last time i checked for my cooper.
but for an extra £655 and then buying other mods to increase the bhp further, it would end up a little cheaper than the mulgari but, given the choice....i would choose the mulgari over a standard looking jcw anyday
nah a custom dyno is currently £325 through a mini group for evolve and 290 is the minimum a JCW makes on a standard stage 1 I've seen them break 300 on stage 1 and 320 for stage 2. Tempted to take my jcw to evolve
You can get a normal jcw, pro tune exhaust on it and buy a ecu piggy back and you’re just as fast. I have a 16plate manual jcw, BC race coilovers, pro tune exhaust and pro body upgrades, and a RaceChip tune. Had it on a dyno to see if it lives up to the 292hp and 306ft lbs that race chip advertise, made 285hp and 300ft lbs. Far cheaper alternative than the mulgari and just as fast if not faster! Save your money people!

280hp in the F56 is pretty easy to get, if you use a decat downpipe with jb4 custom map you can reach 300hp+

Mini coopers are the best bang for buck period when it comes to drivers cars! I greatly appreciate you still driving mini coopers, they really are attainable and magical to drive.... Out of all the cars that make me giggle, my 2012 Mini Cooper S makes me CLAP with joy after a good section of turns or high speed straight...

I see peolple everywhere comparing JCW with focus rs or golf gti and even m2! In Portugal we are talking of 35000 euros for the mini , 55000 euros for the focus and the golf and 70000 euros for a M2! It cant be compared in that way
Also worth noting with a tune, the mid range of the car is FAR better than before! But without good tyres 2nd can be unusable even in the dry
"pocket rocket" is such a cliche please find better descriptions.
tobortine youd need a big F-ing pocket. I think the phase needs a cut off point of say fiesta st/corsa vxr size.

I totally agree. These days hot hatches are never worth the money unless they have at least 300bhp with 4WD. If they want to be taken seriously, they NEED to go mad and do that. Nobody in their right mind would pay £36k for a 280bhp mini. You could get a very good second hand A45 AMG for less than that.
My daughter loves her supercharged S Model Mini, and drives like a racer. More horsepower would be bonkers for sure.
So I’ve been fortunate enough to drive around in a regular JCW (if you can even call it regular), and it’s such a fun little car! I’d love to buy one..
It’s really such a shame that they’re so so expensive! A car with a decent number of options costs nearly M2 Money .. And I love them both a lot, but perhaps I’d go with the M2 if I was in the market for a small fun car..

I don't believe so, but I'm with you on that! R56 version of this would be amazing. Something about the F56 which annoys me! Buuuuuut thats not to say i wouldn't buy a Mulgari one....

You can get a M235i for the same price, I think this is a much better choice (326 hp STOCK, and better overall quality)
Adwaelwin uh... minis are basically BMWs. They share a lot of miscellaneous parts. The quality is over all equal for the same year of cars.
But I agree. RWD is much more fun.
But the quirky-ness of a Mini, and the stiff handling on the S and JCW models are what brings on the customers haha.

Focus RS and save £4k. Spend that on some hp bump, if you must.
If you like little cars that have performance, get a MINI. A big sedan our coupe is not for everyone. Once you've driven a little car, it's hard to drive anything larger.
Mod MINI problem with the mini is its shit everywhere except on country roads. The steering is too heavy for town driving, they feel line a large saloon. And on the motorway they are poor. Not to mention they are far over priced, typical BMW, you get fuck all in them, everything is an option, and common as fuck with middle age women.
I'd rather have a fiesta st 200 or even 150. Eve is thought that too is poor on the inside. Very poor in fact.

Hi, Tim, I've been waiting for the video of the AMG since you announced the incoming!! However, I'll have to admit this enhanced Mini is something to shout about!! The only thing that I complain is that It's still FWD. If I'd been those blokes at the Mini, I'd have fitted the car with a proper RWD system to have more fun!!

Peter benn pan I have a mini f56 remapped to 290bhp. No mods. And it's fast enough. Probably quicker than a m140i. Weighing only just over a tonne it outruns golf r's etc. I paid 12k for my mini with 11k on clock. Would definitely have the mini over a basic bmw

Yeah I'm guessing this is mostly cosmetics and a tune plus probably an exhaust. The best way to get rid of that torque steer is to install a limited slip differential in place of the open diff inside the transmission. I installed one in my 2013 GP and torque steer is almost totally gone. I doubt they did this for that price.

I just can’t get to grips with the terrible aesthetics of the current model. That large front overhang and be general dimensions are all wrong for a mini. The R56 was a good design, but the R53 was the best and a modern classic.
Hoping 4th gen will look nicer and can just skip right over the F56.

My issue with the "new" mini is it is only good on 'b roads' it's a terrible town car, it's quite big, but has super heavy BMW steering. And on the motorway way are to harsh.
