  • Christmas time is busy! In between orders I am trying my best to make more smaller items for the Christmas market on Bonaire!
    I hope you enjoy this video, let me know what you think! I always love to hear from this amazing pottery community! Questions are welcome too!
    Happy potting,
    Monique
    If you are a CZcamsr too, I know you know, how much work it is to create these videos. I would appreciate every little (or larger) donation to help me keep the videos coming. Especially because I cannot monetize my You tube channel because I happen to live on Bonaire.
    Here's a link for donations by Ko Fi, who btw, do not take anything from donations! I would appreciate you buying me a coffee! Thank you!!!

    Monique how you make the tulips stay on the wood with not sliding down? I love the Gnome’s Santa, maybe a video how to?😁🤗

      Hi Marcia! The tulips are not completely hollow, that's how. I will be making a video of them so stay tuned!

    Great video Monique! i had my eye on your cacti ring holders. ive made small cacti but i find them very hard. i ended up modifying the insert on my extruder for the main stem to try to speed the process up. do you slip cast any items. yours look great

    • @nukuaceramicsbonaire
      @nukuaceramicsbonaire  Před 9 měsíci +2

      Thanks! My cacti ring holders are very simply made... a circle cur out with a cookie cutter, lifted up a sort of rim. Rolled coils and stuck them on, that's it. Ow, and a little carving when leather hard. I do not slip cast at all.

    I'm no pro but I was told to use gum solution for thick glaze to thim it down Ive tried it on some of my glazes that were thick. I have oatmeal from Amazon and mayco and they are both super thick so I'm going to try some on mine.

      @@nukuaceramicsbonaire I know had a few miserable bisque fires but think I've got it going good again. Yes that's what I love about ceramic always learning new stuff all the time. And how to figure out problems too.
