Never been a huge Gus fan, but this was a very balanced, calm and intelligent response from a man that's walked the walk.
I was once a Latrel fan. Then he thought he was bigger than the game. Now, i can't stand him.

Look at all of the leading fullbacks in the comp, none of them are carrying extra weight and the amount of work they do off the ball is insane. 100% agree, should be given the centre jersey with a licence to roam, but even then he'd be too lazy to go looking for the ball

the biggest sign for me that the Rabbitohs are on the wrong path is that Cameron Murray is not held up as the standard.
Totally agree. That man leaves everything out there. How souths don’t trumpet him is beyond me. I’ve always felt that cam is captain but not given the keys to the car.
If left to their darn coach he'd have Mitchell captain...but the team and fans won't stand for it. Murray is composed, skilled and a team player. He leaves his 'ego' at the door and usually is top tackler and runner up of the ball. He and Cook leave it all on the field each week.

@@user-wv8co7bk2g A misunderstanding on your part. Sure they aren't playing their best, but it's not the first domino thats causing the fall within the club. The main issue is a souring culture and division within the playing group caused by Latrell poor attitude, the team mates who ignore the issue, and JD who seems unable to have difficult conversations when mecessary. To blame his heritage is unfair and frankly a red herring, it's a problem with attitude and refusal to be a team player, acting as a cancer within the club. The TripleM interview basically summed up his attitide to his current flaws - 'I flout the rules but don't care'. He's basically begging to be put back in to line.
I'm with Gallen. I don't care about the language he used. I was more shocked at how happy he was he scored his 100th career try then went on to say "atleast I've got something to celebrate " while smiling on not caring about the result. If your a south's fan you have to be fuming about that.

To be fair he has every right to celebrate his 100th try. Just because a game is lost you should take that away from anything. Plenty of players have celebrated a milestone game after a loss. You think once Alex Johnston gets all time try scorer and it’s a losing game he shouldn’t still celebrate and openly say he’s happy about it? If anything maybe Latrells delivery could have been better - but we all know Latrell isn’t the most fluent speaker and shouldn’t expected to be one.

I have never seen a top talent professional athlete in any sport worldwide that sports the sort of jiggly belly roll that Latrell is carrying. It’s certainly smaller than other years but WTF? An abdominal roll of fat on a pro athlete superstar? You can see it moving independently when he runs.

My thoughts on it... The F bombs were excessive and unnecessary and the whole interview he gave was really unprofessional. It wasnt a good look on him, his club and now on the NRL because they're not doing much about it. The guys on this show had interesting thoughts that I agree with. I didn't know Latrell was out in Vegas at 2am during the week of their season opener. I hope his teammates pull him in or his club shows him the door.
Let me share some insights with you (as a head physical therapist who sees things there ..)
It’s latrell’s personality that doesn’t match what some feel needs to be serious, professional , having high standards.
It is what it is. Some folks are just super relaxed and have pride in the way they are themselves and despise acting proper .
latrell isn’t the only one.
Team management find it difficult to correct this. Because it really gets into a personal level . That’s where the divide is.
Anyways, that’s just ONE perspective . Never gets talked about and for good reason too .

Someone within the club, whether it be the coach, manager, or one of the owners, needs to have a serious, and onerous discussion with Latrell as well as Cody, about their behaviour and have it that they either display some respect to the club and their teammates or they don't play first grade rugby league for the Rabbitohs, it's plain and simple.
Whilst the expletives didn't worry me, the fact that he sounded so blasé during that interview indicates that he doesn't care for the team like his teammates do.
So this week all clubs players should be swearing and see what happens !!!

Cody Walker came out and supported signing JAC saying that would complete a fully indigenous backline. Nice one. Forgot about his team mate A.Graham. Every latrell problem keeps coming back to a sense of entitlement. Every “scandal” generally revolves around him putting himself before everyone else. This is no different. To knowingly swear in a live broadcast he either doesn’t care about the consequence or just doesn’t care in general. Both of which resemble south’s performance atm, never about the team, always someone else’s fault. Obviously he’s too talented to drop, but something has to change. Maybe it’s Jason holding him accountable, or for once, latrell actually holding himself accountable and putting the team before his own selfish actions

His work ethic is garbage and it reflects in his work rate. I don’t know exactly how much the bloke gets paid per year without looking but I’d imagine it would be somewhere in the vicinity of 800k or more. The bunnies are not getting their monies worth out of him.
