A comparison of the Icom IC-7600 Vs the IC-756 Pro III.
This first video in the series looks at the Ergonomics and construction quality, a kind of right out of the box experience if you got them both for Christmas :)
I am no expert and on top of that this is a one man production with more than a few flubs.
Sorry if it seems like I talk too much but the Manual for the 7600 is 170 Legal size pages Long and I can only scratch the surface with these videos.
I am buying a used (obviously) ICOM IC-756 PRO iii on Saturday morning. I'm getting it for $500.00 from a guy who got the radio from a friend who is now a silent key. I'm trying to understand what I'm getting into with this rig, and your review was GOLDEN!!! I feel really good about the radio! And so happy you covered so much of this radio in your review! I don’t miss my ICOM 756 PROII since I purchased my ICOM 7600.The PROII had far more display choices but that is the only thing the PROII has over the 7600. I think the 7600 is a BEAST.

Still as new with all the matching extras
Pro3's, in 'like new' condition, are getting top dollar on the used market. That said, the tuning knob on the ORIGINAL 756 (with the monochrome screen) was better than the Pro3. It had a very 'weighty' and silky tuning action compared to the latter 'Pro' series 756's. Nice comparison video.

It's not a question of focus. I shot the first 3:45 Minutes of the video with a older super 8 SD video camera and after seeing the results I went out and borrowed an HD camera and that is why at 3:47 the picture becomes much sharper. All the other videos in the series were done with the HD camera. I am not sure why that first three minutes matter so much people. It's just me saying what I think of the construction. The later parts that show all the screens buttons and knobs are in HD.

Love my ICOM 7600 and it is a Beast and much better than the ICOM 756 PRO II that it replaced. I prefer the 7600 over the 7610 as well because I hate any radio with a stupid touch screen.

The smaller power button is not a great change but certainly not a good enough reason not to upgrade.
People really need to watch my video comparing the SSB receive of the 7600 vs Pro3. You will see why the upgrade is well worth it.

The first thing you should’ve done was focus your camera.
The Mic I used on Both Radios is an Icom SM-20.
I am not overly impressed with the AM on the 756ProIII but the FM is Ok.
The 7600 has good Am and Fm.

Did you wathc past the first 3 minutes? I switched to an HD Camera at that point.
the pro 3...do or did you notice rx distortion when volume is past 1 o'clock position, even with headphones? (on weak signals, of course 30db will be overkill)
I also notice full 100w on cw, fm rtty but talk power is 40-60 on ssb whereas my 735 did 100w no sweat on ssb.

It *WAS* a question of focus. See the bokeh on the transceiver front plate, this is the proof.

Terrible video. Not good view as claimed. Delete and do over. Blur makes it unwatchable.
The smaller power button is killing me, therefore i'll never purchase a 7600............
