Congratulations Katie!! A little girl! I am so happy for you and your husband. Not sure if you’ve chosen a neighbourhood yet but I would suggest Old Town Toronto. It is the only area of the city with the largest selection of attractive heritage buildings that have character and charm and is still close to city core (and a few lovely parks) with walkable access to excellent transportation. But if you prefer an interesting flat in a lovely old home I’d recommend the Annex near the University of Toronto (this neighbourhood is still near the city core and excellent transportation and parks). Wishing you all the very best with visas etc. I’m the Canadian (via UK) but my husband is an American (from Akron, OH) so we’ve been through the process as well!

Congratulations!!! Toronto is a great city … we’re VERY diverse here… just north-west of the city is a region called Woodbridge. Lots of Italians live in that area. There were a couple great streets in mid-town Toronto, College St and St Clair Ave that used to be very authentically Italian. You can still find great pizzerias and bakeries etc, but many Italians have moved out of those core neighbourhoods. In any case, welcome to Toe-Ron-oh!!

Big congrats for Canada, it' s going to be colder than here , but you're always sunny and you ll take the warm with you everywhere you go 🥰. A pretty name for the baby, since you' re always so cheerful I think you'd like : Allegra, Serena, Felicia. Other random italian names I like (a few of these are also common in the anglophone countries): Laura, Claudia, Bianca, Beatrice, Viola, Giulia, Celeste, Mia, Aurora, Gaia, Viola, Luna, Sole, Gemma, Azzurra, Natalia, Lucia, Rosalia, Marina, Flavia. According to tradition you could also name her after the patron saint of the town or name her after your own mother. Sorry for any grammar mistake .It has been a privilege having you in Puglia Katie.
