LOL. Big budgie has such a round fluffy bum. Too adorable. I’m glad to see the tiniest one is growing well too. My goodness they can walk! The big one was is so fast. Oh just too cute! I’ve never experienced this before.

My female budgie (Cream) layed 6 eggs. They hatched about two weeks ago. Some of them have just started growing feathers while others are growing beaks. Both my budgies are working very hard to feed them and are great parents. However, it's always an absolute chaos in there 24/7. As a first time budgie owner this was really helpful. Thank you!
Did all six hatch ? Mine laid 7 eggs so far 4 have hatched. We’re waiting for the other three to hatch
@@karinavelazquez1302 Ah no, all of them except one hatched. The youngest one, which hatched for trampled by the older ones and the second youngest died because the mother wanted to pay more eggs so you know

I feel so relieved to know that I can clean their nest, I always feel really bad when I see a parakeet in a poop-filled nest. The mourning doves chicks I was looking after died because somehow they cut themselves in the tree branches and as the nest was dirty the wounds got infected, I realized that too late

How do you check the nest box without the hen freaking out? They’re not laying eggs yet but she is working at house keeping ie shredding everything in sight for bedding. I check it any time I come in the room, usually twice a day and not for long. Just so the pair get use to the box being opened. Am I doing anything wrong?

I cleaned nest box after couples of hours female through out all chick's from the box their's age around 10 days high recommend to clean until chick's properly out by them self
