If it weren't for Elena Lev, Cirque de Soleil would never have been as successful as its hayday. The original Alegria (1994-), in which Elena was the star performer, contributed to the development of the entire Cirque production tremendously. In the interview of DVD Alegira (2003), Elena was still a teen, but already shining as a leading artist -- full of beauty, intelligence, and professionalism. It is unbelievably awesome to see her being a super star in new Alegria after 2 1/2 decades. Elena has accomplished so much and is a true maverick in the circus world! The new Alegira may resume next year, and I don't know if she will come back. I hope she will, but even if not, I will congratulate Elena Lev for Alegria!
Well said. No one can forget her performance in that green outfit. Alegria back then was just so, so good. Cirque is just recycling material at this point.

My favorite is the Native American pair in Totem! The dancing, the singing, the hoop wings! So creative.

I watched the new version of Alegria yesterday and I honestly couldn't help but wish she were there. It was such an honor to witness the original 27 years ago. Her beauty, her grace, and her unparalleled performance, perfected in her teens! Her charm will never fade❤

FEAR is the PURPOSE of the coof coof ... and of the (contradicting) messages which media, politicians and "experts" spread. People who are afraid are easier to control!
Most of the things which are called "science" these days are NOT science ... because real science ALWAYS ALLOWS ITSELF TO BE CRITICISED ... because scienctists know "the way we thought about the universe in the past was WRONG, so my theory CAN BE EQUALLY WRONG." QUESTIONING your own theory objectively is the job of every scientist, but questioning IS NOT ALLOWED ... especially by the scientific overlords called Social Media!
Stop trusting them ... all of them (no matter which "side" they represent) ... and instead use your own common sense, because in the end you cant do anything ... and running around like a headless chicken because you are afraid will not help the situation either.

We loved being a part of making Lucia happen with our conveyor system. Great to watch it all again from 18:30 and see the skill of the acrobats in action!!! Love Love Love!

It’s crazy what a difference the music makes in the energy of the new and old Alegria. I always thought Elena seemed confident and almost threatening in the old one. Like a twisty, poison green snake, beautiful but dangerous. The new performance feels so graceful and introspective, almost effortless. Very different vibes!

Even after two years since I saw this video, the energy of Volta's hoop performance keeps making me smile and enjoy like a child. I hope I can see that show live at least once

The new version of Alegria is even cool, but it could have given a fresh look at the best song from the original show, because Elena's presentation with that song is sensational, but the new song didn’t match a presentation.
@@Tubeman316 yes but he is not talking about Elena, its about the music, I agree with him, the music in the new Alegria isn't good as the old one, al least not for me
I also feel like the new music is weak. The power track for example doesn't feel as powerful as the original one. In Elena's performance, the calm or quiet parts of the music makes the presentation look simple or unfinished, idk. Love Elena, she's awesome and amazing as always.

There are alot of good hoola hoopers, but in my mind Elena Lev set the bar for all time. Cirque must think so too, because they saved the best for last.
Mesmerizingly graceful. When the two ladies used all the rings together it reminded me of when you see the silver fins swimming together in the Ocean, almost making a shimmering silver whirlpool together. The whole lot of this is just gorgeous and majestic. Love the various music and costumes too, especially 25:22. That gorgeous snug blue suit just adds to to stunning vibe 🙂😊
