I really enjoyed your energy and enthusiasm. I for sure can relate. I think you gave me the confidence to try and remove hype stickers, too. I have just been keeping the shrink with the hype stickers inside the outer sleeve and saying goodbye to the hype stickers for any gatefold. Have you thought about adding your discogs to your linktree so your followers can see your collection that way?

You’ll definitely want to use inner sleeves. I double sleeve every thing but at least your more valuable ones. The paper sleeves that record companies use are pretty cheap and can leave micro abrasions and scratches, they can also leave paper residue on them. Inner plastic sleeves also help reduce static buildup which if you live in a more cold/dry area is kinda a must.

thanks for the advice! i’ll definitely look into buying some inner sleeves!

@@SimplyLillie your welcome! One piece of advice is some nicer records have the paper sleeve with the plastic lining those are called hybrid sleeves. Those are my favs but they are really expensive. All of that to say if you have a record and it already has that thin plastic lining then your actually good since it’ll do the same as a regular antistatic. It’s a nice touch but a rare one, mostly reserved for really expensive or specific audiophile releases. Not sure where your located but Walmart actually sells some sleeves that are like 25 inners and 25 outers for 20 which isn’t too bad of a deal.

I'm 40 and spent for the first time in my life 200 euros on a sealed record. Also been buying records since 96. Gotta start some time 😅
