For the care of your records, you seem to be doing a good job.
One thing to remember: even brand new records needs a cleaning before you play them.
Regarding the sleeves, I cannot recommend enough Music Record shop, their sleeves are made in the USA and are pretty affordable. I get the outer sleeves as well as the inner sleeve. Once cleaned, I put the record in an inner sleeve so it will keep it clean longer and also prevent static. I put the cover in the outer sleeve to protect it then I insert the inner sleeve to the back of the outer sleeve. That way I can just slide the record out when I want to listen to it
And as you have beautiful colored vinyls, you can show them without taking them out of the sleeve.
Agreed, it's more complicated with triple vinyl records (a double you can easily slide 2 inner sleeves inside the outer, but 3 it's getting really tight)
Later down the road, when you can afford it, you might want to upgrade the turntable. But all in time, what matters is that you enjoy the hobby and the music.

just wanted to clarify, but if you bought T.S. Self-titled from a record store, the store ordered that from a vinyl distributer which provides money to the label (scooter) so you actually did give scooter ur money. The only way to truly get around this, is to buy the vinyl from a reseller that purchased it before scooter owned Big Machine. :)
ah i see. i’d still rather buy the vinyl once than stream it continuously!
The labels in the center of my 1989 TV vinyl are on opposite sides, which is kinda like what happened with ur Red TV vinyl. This definitely doesn't happen too often, but it's definitely more of a common occurrence with Taylor's albums given the fact that they are extremely mass produced. It's way easier for these things to go unnoticed in the factories while they're trying to press as many vinyls as they can, and as quickly as possible. And actually the 1st disc of my Lana Del Rey - Lust For Life coke bottle clear vinyl doesn't even have labels on it. For some reason the labels weren't pressed on to the vinyl, and the people packing the vinyls at the pressing plant seemingly didn't care enough to set it aside, and replace it with a vinyl that actually did have the labels. The 2nd disc is fine, but it was still annoying how they let that very apparent mistake slide. Thankfully the people who work for her customer service are literal angels, and they mailed me a replacement copy free of charge.

I mostly only collect the rarer and colored vinyl. I really like the LIGHTS vinyl for P3P. Also Tegan and Sara have this pretty ice cream 🍦 cone vinyl that I had to get. ❤ my advice would be shop for prices and online is sometimes cheaper than in stores but used record stores are better than say Target or Walmart but they don’t always stock newer vinyl so it’s hard to know what they will sell. Usually you can have them order records to the store and put them up when they arrive. They actually closed my fav record store a few years ago, I was so sad. It was such a spot to dip in and chat and kill an hour. ❤
Also I’m not sure what record player you have but eventually you will want to get a turn table and some studio monitors so it sounds really good. Sometimes an audio interface will help the sound. If you are just playing from a plastic record player with built in speakers 🔊 it will not sound nearly as good. Trust me the sound quality is like 100% better!

@@ZoeRebekahF I went through a whole dilemma when I got my record player a few years ago I ended up investing with an audio techica but I saw someone say you can always get a suitcase player see how much you like the hobby then upgrade when you can afford/feel the need to which I think is a good thing to go by. There are some very particular people who collect records and they can be very judgy so don't beat yourself up about it. Collect at your own pace.

You should upgrade to an Audio Technica LP60XBT because suitcase record players ruin your records the needle scratches the grooves of the record and they have poor sound quality

@@ZoeRebekahFdo not listen to people that tell you what to get over a crosley or victrola! These people have NO clue except to hate on what they don’t own! I own a Crosley & it has NEVER damaged a single vinyl record we have! We have owned it for several years & our records have been played multiple times each! The only thing we did was upgrade the stylus to a Diamond tip & hooked up external speakers!
