I can relate to his review. I also was turned off at first but once I decided to keep watching, It was really worth it. I truly enjoyed it. Pretty magical stuff.

Joel I'm serious, this may be one of my new favorite movies and I thought "pretend that you love me" would always be my favorite movie you could've ever made then you released this masterpiece and I'm torn between which one I love more. You're a fantastic creator and never stop going insaneo style my friend!

5:01 The squirrels make what's called a "Greek Chorus" and it harks back to ancient traditions of theatre, lending a sense of ritualistic and stylistic formality in order to imbue the movie with a sense of gravitas and historical continuity. They also offer insights and thematic reflections that guide the audience's interpretation of the movie's events and highlight its central themes.
Sort of like Mr. wizard from rocky and bullwinkle
The film reminded me of the film magnolia for how many different character stories were going on, and while I overall like where the story goes I can’t help but feel that it is too long. An amazing feat considering how short the production was.
I disagree that the squirrels didnt play much if a role in the story, the final line where the dad says "i was still holding onto hope, those silly little squirrels" that line hit so hard.

You should watch the movie Being John Malkovich, it revolves around a marrionette puppeteer, but it evolves in a way you could never imagine, it is probably one of my favorite "comedies" of all time. I would love to hear your review of that.

The story got so dark, which I was expecting to some extent, but it was really intense lmao
Anything I could critique about pacing, plot, or performance would sound trite compared to the monolithic achievement this film represents.

David somebody asked me about the Thunderbirds sometime ago and I didn't know what they were talking about and looked them up I wish I had known about them when I was a kid for some reason I never saw them I have no idea what I was doing at that time.
