    ya know, I have watched more than my fair share of cooking videos. But your style inspires me the most to get in the kitchen and make something. Just get in there a make it. Don't sweat the small stuff. Just a little advice if you don't mind. those who sit on their couch and criticize feeding your kids treats need to shut up and take their kids outside and teach them like your husband and you. In my opinion, your kids are healthy and happy and active. Your doing a fantastic job and I love your Grit. God Bless you and all your endeavors.

    You guys got a lot of beautiful animals ! Most years my Serendipity has good sized ears but my late planting didn't have any rain and are looking about like yours if not a little smaller . It's one of my favorite sweet corns I have grown over the years . Thanks for sharing and have a great weekend !

    Hey Andy and Meghan. Glad you got to try Serendipity. Your ears are small because of how late you planted it. Earlier rounds of corn will produce large ears. Like I told you before, it tops out at 6’, tassels shorter but does produce a large ear on earlier plantings. Truthfully Honey Select and Serendipity are of the same genetic profile, but I find Serendipity outperforms Honey select. Glad you like it. Try and earlier round next year, and you’ll catch the “wow” factor. Love to you both.

    We will most definitely have to try them jam bars. Of all the you tube channels we watch, yall are the most "real" people out there. Still hoping to be able to get some of the " hulless popcorn " seed. We sure wish we had the same problem with your tomato harvest.

    • @TrueGritAppalachianWays

      We just let it hang out in the field until it is completely dried, then after we pick it it’ll lay out a couple more weeks then it’ll be ready ☺️

    Too bad you can’t give some of that to the homeless or a food pantry in your area. I mean will any of it go bad before the chickens can eat it ? I’m talking about the good stuff.

    • @TrueGritAppalachianWays
      @TrueGritAppalachianWays  Před 3 měsíci

      We gave away buckets upon buckets upon buckets last year to neighbors family and friends or anyone that wanted some, forgot to mention that in the video ☺️ but also the chickens will clean up all that produce in less than a days time, they love gardening season as much as we do!
