  • Driving distance in the game of golf is a very important element in shooting your best scores. One of the best ways to increase your distance is to make center face contact. Hitting the middle of the clubface will increase your "smash factor" by increasing the ball speed. When the ball goes faster, it goes farther!
In this video, Michael Breed shows you how to max out your smash factor so you get the most out of your club head speed. You will learn how to swing fast AND hit the middle of the face through one of Michael's favorite contact drills.

I'm not even a golfer, but had this in my recommendations. I feel like this guy is fairly transparent. A bit with overhyping on statistics perhaps, but I feel they're a good asset of knowledge to have in back of your mind to improve. It's fun to see the technology advancements in a sport such as golf, I wouldn't have imagined it could be as technical as it is.

Thanks so much for this lesson! I can't wait to apply it because I just turned 60 and I can get my clubhead speed between 103-108, but I'm getting nowhere near the distance you got because way too often, I'm striking it low in the heel, which generates balloon shots that spin way too much and cost me distance that I know I should be getting! Thanks again.

Can't wait to try this gate drill. My miss seems to be on the heel side.

Michael. Great stuff as always. One question. Wouldn’t it be better to put a tee to the outside instead of the inside since hitting more off the toe is better than a heal strike? Or, better yet, put one on the opposite side you are missing to…so, if you keep hitting heel shots, put the tee to the outside, and if you keep hitting it too far off the toe, but it on the inside? No?

If you struggle with hitting the heel, you could do that, but the idea is to teach yourself center face contact, not toe contact

Michael, you're not very good at hitting a 'bad one'. You leave that up to me, I'm pretty sure I could find a lot more of the heel than you ever can🤣🤣
