Hi Michael I have noticed that the ball position of the fairway wood is similar to driver ball position just thought it supposed to be about middle off the fairway ? Cheers.

Aside from Michael's excellent points on the backswing, at 9:28 we don't want to contract our shoulder muscles tight and close to our neck - the neck and shoulder muscles should be loose throughout the swing. So as a result the right elbow is not staying tucked in near the right hipbone and the club shaft should be pointing towards the target all the way until our hands are moving across our trailing right knee. At 9:29 we can see lots of tension in the neck & shoulders and the wrists have already released all stored power (premature casting). We've all been there and nothing beats watching slow motion swings of Ben Hogan, Moe Norman and Michael Breed around 13:06.

Sir, aren’t you supposed to all the clubs same way? U have to shallow your swing in downswing with all the clubs. Correct me if I am wrong. I tried 3 wood all different way and as a high handicapper, I can not hit high or too far.

My problem seems to be more of not releasing the club head and hetting in front of the ball. Somehow, i have more shaft lean with longer clubs, woods and hybrids. This tutorial will be used next week at the range. Thanks!

I look at the ground about 1 to 2 inches in front of the ball. The ball isnt what i swing at. Every take practice swings and say to yourself, there went the good swing? Thats because you wasnt swinging at a ball! Try it, keep weight on lead side and swing. Nomore fat shots and youll probably compress it better then ever before

This is my Achilles heel on the driver. I see a ball mark 3 - 5 inches in front of the tee. Drives me crazy.

I am not a pro, but if I were to venture a guess, his irons are too short. That’s why the need to bend over. I could be wrong.

Does this motion work for full shots ? I struggle hitting thin shots with mid and longer irons !

Hey Michael it’s Chris from the first video. Thank you for taking the time to watch and give solid advice/tips on how to correct my swing, I’ll keep working on it and hopefully have another video to send at the end of the season with more of a Max Homa action.

Do these instructors think the average guy can just look at a different place and instantly things get better? Where else would we look when there is a ball in front of us and are programmed to hit it? Why not hit at 4 o’clock using your number or brand name? But I say it’s food for thought.

What about when it sitting at the bottom four inch or deeper rough and all you can see is the top of the ball?

If golf could be played with only a driver. I’d be good. Bring irons into and it becomes extremely frustrating. Oh the woes of learning the game.
