Very impressive when Bernice King lets you know she is impressed with your questions. As always, great interview Trevor.

Trevor is such a great interviewer. He does his homework and actually asks insightful questions. Its just like how John Stewart was as an interviewer, and Trevor has absolutely matched and kept that aspect of the daily show going

I’m thinking Trevor is a voracious reader, and honestly, his interview game is better than Jon’s, and pretty much better than all of late night.

Didn’t Jon Stewart famously not do his homework for most of his interviews?

Being able to disseminate nonviolence in an online platform that's definitely what America and the whole world needs. We're too much at each other's throats we need more love in this world

That won't happen until the left vs right black vs white vax no vax stuff stops from the American news media. The media continues to push the divide and both sides but typically the left gobble it right up. We're still witch hunting trump, no time for unification. Lol

My ears piqued when I heard her talk about Pres. Johnson and how he and Rev. Martin Luther King made progress together for civil rights. As an older white lady I was actually named after Mr. Johnson for his civil rights advocacy as Majority Leader in the senate even before his presidency. Maybe I can be so bold to say that civil rights is part of me even in a pre-natal way :) Two things -- Mr. Johnson legacy of civil rights work is definitely overshadowed by the Vietnam war AND Rev. King even tho it was unpopular was strong enough to point out that basically the war will detract from the power of the civil rights movement, give an impression of weakness by caving in general to advisors over a war that was ultimately in and of itself a devastating civil rights manifestation. Human frailties, inconsistencies, complications, cruelty....I guess we just put on our ears as she suggested and move forward. Just imagine if Mr. Johnson had listened to Rev King on just this one sad piece of History.
