Our First Time Exploring COLOMBO, Sri Lanka

This was our first full day exploring Colombo, Sri Lanka!🥥 We visited many beautiful sights, including the Colombo National Museum🏺, Gangaramaya Temple🙏and Jami Ul-Alfar Mosque🕌. We also tasted new foods and searched for the smallest Buddha in Sri Lanka!

WOW COLOMBO IS NOT SEEMS LIKE OTHER SOUTH ASIAN CITIES, VERY CLEAN AND MODERN

the reason for that is the Sri Lankan education, where they have a high literacy rate and also the policies in early governments to implement family planning. Both of them resulting in less people density and more professional and educated people.

@3:12 "Sri Lanka was founded in the 5th century by Prince Vijaya etc". Well not quite. The aforementioned prince arrived not in the 5th century, but in 543BCE to marry the local queen & start Sinhalese history, though there have been people living on the island long before that.

Sri Lanka looks beautiful, the architecture is stunning! Still can't believe how cheap some of these tasty foods can be! The tour looked great too covering a lot of the highlights of Sri Lanka 😍

Dear Anna, there were native, original people living here in Sri Lanka. The original Sinhala people. Sinhalese Queen was knitting cotton clothes when Indian prince Vijaya was ruled out of his kingdom by his father. Vijaya landed here with his army, got married to Sinhala princess Kuweni. So, the Yakkha Sinhala Queen was already here.

Well selected sites and places ....nice representation of the city of Colombo. I would like to mention one small thing in here ....almost each and every foreigner visits Colombo, taking as Sri Lanka's capital I hope ...but our capital is Sri Jayawardhana pura Kotte, a place near by Colombo. Also where the parliament is located. So if you will visit Colombo please visit Kotte at the same time.
