This model is cheap and worked but was very laggy and didn't show 5ghz networks . Took that one back and got the same brand but dual band and it's not laggy at all with 25mbs speeds.

Certo è possibile utilizzare il dispositivo in modalità Access point, puoi configurare questa modalità dal pannello di amministrazione del ripetitore.

mine is blinking constantly, i found an old version of it in a box, probably like 9 years old. I resetted it but the wireless LED is blinking constantly but it shows in the Wifi list as Tp link extender, when i klick on it i get an server error message. I guess defective or outdated FW?

Ottimo video ma ho una domanda. Per esempio il router ha due canali: Pippo2 e Pippo5 per identificare le due frequenze. Sul ripetitore è consigliabile avere gli stessi nomi oppure chiamare: Pippo2-ext e Pippo5-ext?
In questo caso lo smartphone come fa a fare lo switch automatico? Grazie
Ciao, se ti connetti vicino a Pippo2 e poi ti sposti in prossimità di Pippo2-ext il dispositivo potrebbe non fare lo switch automatico anche se la connessione estesa avesse lo stesso nome e la stessa password. Dipende da come è stata implementata la gestione del wi-fi nel dispositivo, se non sbaglio Android di default non lo fa, so che ci sono delle app che aggiungono questa funzionalità ai dispositivi Android.
Sempre se non erro una rete mesh risolve questa problematica in quanto lo smartphone vede un'unica grande rete, ovviamente però una rete mesh richiede dispositivi ben più costosi rispetto a un ripetitore come questo.
Se fai una prova tienimi aggiornato, penso che potrebbe essere utile anche per altri questa discussione.

Ciao, alla fine ho provato, ne ho installati due, con lo stesso ssid del router. Funzionano ottimamente, come un rete mesh, ma ad un costo molto più basso. Adesso riesco a coprire più di 200mq nonostante i muri :D @@trafegon

@@trafegon Si si, la velocità è ottimale, ripete il segnale in maniera davvero efficiente, però devono essere posizionati in maniera strategica. Dai led è possibile capire la potenza del segnale ricevuta e di conseguenza quella trasmessa.
