  • @felixmorini4068
    @felixmorini4068 Před 3 lety +6

    Hi, in 4:15 you remark that Peter was in a bad position and you suggested that he should be upwards, but you can see that he was filming something below his waist. So it is quite difficult to film as you suggested.

    • @PeterMakholm
      @PeterMakholm  Před 3 lety +12

      Hi Felix, you can easily get that shot in an upright position. All Peter had to do was add a grip to the DJI briefcase handle that I already have on the gimbal. Then you will be able to shoot low in an upright position. I see so many creators that don't think about their position when they are filming, and over time this will lead to injury. There are so many eyes on Peter, and if you are new to filmmaking, you might think that this is the best way to use a gimbal, but with minor adjustments, you will be able to get the same shot without putting unnecessary stress on your body. I hope this will answer your question.

  • @rubenvaneupen7327
    @rubenvaneupen7327 Před rokem

    If you push in and pan to keep the subject in frame, the panning is always done by active tracking feature, no? It seems really hard to control the panning manually with the gimbal joystick. Maybe a second operator can replace the active tracking feature sometimes.

    I don't understand what "locking" the gimbal does. When I press the trigger I don't see any difference in the behavior from when I don't. And when I walk the came seams to sway a little bit. And if I try to pan across something large like a car, I can get the camera to stay point on say a wheel.. I hope I'm missing something.. thoughts?

    It of a history lesson; Ninjas never walked “Heel toe”. They walked toe first in order to feel out obstacles or gaps in total darkness. When they ran, they leaned their body forward, as if falling, and continued with the toe first motion. We only really began heel toe walking as humans when we began to wear boots and shoes which had more cushion and support.

    Okay so you criticised peter’s ‘Push in’ shot, I had a close analysis on that. Peter’s walk has a suspension to it and the camera pointed to the subject is insanely stable. Whereas, your walk has vertical shake, which is a big no to me.
    People dedicate themselves to a shot, I would lean on that perspective rather than be more cautious about yourself and not perfect the shot.
    So sorry, I wouldn’t agree with you on that point.
