Awesome breakdown and analysis, Peter!
Thank you, I hope that I have spread some light over how a shoot like this is possible.
I don’t think he was walking like that to get a shot of anything I think the point of the shot was showcasing the size of the gimbals that’s why he’s holding it far away from him if it was tucked up against him that shadow wouldnt be so pronounced that’s like saying on the shot of the bike don’t ride the bike like that you’ll get hurt rate what your seeing on screen not what the actors are doing… in all fairness
Big thanks man!!!
Thanks for breaking-down the gimbal moves. Much appreciated.
Learned a lot about using a gimbal. Thank you, Peter!
Most important what I´ve learned: "Don´t do the Ninja!" - Thank you very much, thank you!
Thank you @peter
Really helpful. Just getting into cinematic shots with the DJI Ronin Rsc2. Thank you, Peter.
This is great. I just purchased the rs2 and learning how to properly use it. Thank you
Im new to gimbals and just got a rsc2 and i got more tips in this video then several other videos i watched lately ..ty!
Thanks for sharing.
Very nice tutorial, practical, precise and simple. I'm new to the gimbal and this is a great starting point.
Hy Peter ... I'm a visual artist in Austria ... Thank you for your cool videos ... etc.
Really good tips here. I'm just getting into film making. Bought my first professional gimbal after using the DJI Osmo for a while. I do this mainly as a hobby but I enjoy it a lot.
Thanks Peter. Just got the RS 3 Pro and new to the Raven Eye. You video ecolsined its application perfectly. Im going to check out your course today. Many thanks brother.
Thank you for all the tips! Super helpful video. The advice about a posture is great, but what if you need to shoot low angle video for long time? How you can shoot without bending your body?
Thanks for the video tutorial and tips. I learned a lot from your videos.
Thx, very cool. But how you control the AF during all this moves. Especially during 3D Tracking….?
good job guy
Great video!
Bro. Great work. i subscribed
great tutorial
Thanks I’m a beginner with gimbal, I learnt a lot! 🙏🏼
You are welcome. Very pleased to hear.
yes levi !
Thank you for all your tips, Peter! You have a great channel. Just one thing, many of your Amazon links are now unavailable. Maybe you want to update that so you get your cut (I have bought a few of your recommendations;). Also, what side monitor are you using? I haven't been able to find it in your gear list. Thanks again!
Very helpful, thanks.
You are welcome.
Nice one!
Hov, det var da lige hos båd Peter!
Nice job!
Hi Peter, really great video! Do you think it is worth to buy a raveneye? shooting mostly our small but pretty fast kids :)
how to take u curver shot as u pan in with gimbal
I am not sure what you mean. Could you explain a more.
Hi, in 4:15 you remark that Peter was in a bad position and you suggested that he should be upwards, but you can see that he was filming something below his waist. So it is quite difficult to film as you suggested.
Hi Felix, you can easily get that shot in an upright position. All Peter had to do was add a grip to the DJI briefcase handle that I already have on the gimbal. Then you will be able to shoot low in an upright position. I see so many creators that don't think about their position when they are filming, and over time this will lead to injury. There are so many eyes on Peter, and if you are new to filmmaking, you might think that this is the best way to use a gimbal, but with minor adjustments, you will be able to get the same shot without putting unnecessary stress on your body. I hope this will answer your question.
Great video Peter. Thanks for taking the time to do this.
Thanks mate, It was super fun to create. deep diving in to this video
@@PeterMakholm Yup! Tell me... Why you have a "Dead Cat" over the camera? 😜👌😁 Top!
@@nunosaraivaphotographer Well Spoted Nuno. I use it to block out wind noise when i shoot with out an external mic. have them on all my cameras. Works amazing for GoPro as well, if you are riding mtb or skiing. amzn.to/3oKzASM
just subbed you are now my gimball guru :)
Top!!!
Thanks Mate.
Peter Makholm 👌❤️
Excelent video!
Great to hear mate.
side tracking is always tricky for me ! I always get bumpy non-smooth footage from DJI ronon-s
hi there, do you need to be connected to the internet to operate this gimbal?
No not at all.
If you push in and pan to keep the subject in frame, the panning is always done by active tracking feature, no? It seems really hard to control the panning manually with the gimbal joystick. Maybe a second operator can replace the active tracking feature sometimes.
Hello, I have a question, is this a good and easy to use gimbal for portrait/vertical video shooting? Thanks.
Yes mate. How do you do this. Thanks for the tutorial.
I just like creating content about gimbal.
I've still got the weebill lab, is that still okay
Where’s the link for that monopod??? I need a new one and like the look of it
Hi Peter! This is the video where you show the side move. At 5:56 you "lock the gimbal and turn it 90 degrees". How exactly do you do that? Thanks!!
On the dji gimbals, just press the front trigger to lock it in the current angle. Then you can rotate and it will point in the previous direction.
how to focus manual or Auto i m 90 d user please reply
What is brand of the hand grip?
Who else totally thought it was a Peter McKinnon video?! 😂😂😂😂
How can someone manage take these shots with hands only
Can you please explain more about RSC2
Yes mate, videos coming up.
@@PeterMakholm 😮
What monitor is that
Peter, 60FPS or 120FPS for slow motion?
I don't understand what "locking" the gimbal does. When I press the trigger I don't see any difference in the behavior from when I don't. And when I walk the came seams to sway a little bit. And if I try to pan across something large like a car, I can get the camera to stay point on say a wheel.. I hope I'm missing something.. thoughts?
Can you do a direct rsc2 Vs rs2? Is stabilisation quality similar?
Yes video is o coming.
Great Video but a stupid question: Where do you lock the gimbal to rotate? 🤦🏼♀🤷♀
Surely you must have figured it out by now, if not its on the menu you choose 360 degrees there
imagine having such a big channel that people make videos just about you lol
great video... thanks for sharing...could I just ask what your Sting Titles are from? Was it Motion VFX? Package? Thanks!
Hi, Thanks. Yes it is a motion vfx pack called. Geometrical Glitches Modular Template for Motion 5 & FCPX. geni.us/zFBOeOW
@@PeterMakholm Thanks so much Peter... about to upgrade my Crane (V1) to the Ronin RS2... hopefully should see some improvement and try some of the moves you demo... although probably not the one swinging off the rafters!!!
@@PeterMakholm Actually Peter sorry, I meant the titles like Paralax at 4.40??? Thanks again!
Here it is, my throughway of what gimbal moves Peter Mckinnon used in the DJI RS2 BLOW OUR MINDS video. Enjoy it!!!!
Video starts at 2:30
is your gimbal academy totally free sir @petermakholm?
Hey. The academy will be a paid course.
Hi mate,
Great video, I couldn't find the monitor handle you have, can you link that for me?
Thank you, have a great day.
Hi thanks, It is this one form Ulanzi. geni.us/LABApv
@@PeterMakholm thanks mate, appreciate it, have an awesome day :)
You spelled parallax wrong at 4:45.
4:00 I destroyed my knees and lower back and my gimbal doesn't get delivered until tomorrow 😬😆
lmaooo this dude looks like such a corn ball rolling around on that one wheeled kook mobile
THERE IS A NEW FIRMWARE TO WEBILL S AND NEW MENU, PLEASE MAKE A VIDEO!!!
Video dropping at 2200 cet today.
It of a history lesson; Ninjas never walked “Heel toe”. They walked toe first in order to feel out obstacles or gaps in total darkness. When they ran, they leaned their body forward, as if falling, and continued with the toe first motion. We only really began heel toe walking as humans when we began to wear boots and shoes which had more cushion and support.
Mmm not really a mistake when it's technique. He probably didn't do it for long periods at a time
Wait is Peter is your brother ?
Peter McMuffin is the biggest Fraud on youtube. I love it
Count how many times you said "so", and see if you can either not say it or use a different word.
So
Actually I was expecting something more professional while you have presented very few shoots. I would like to see more practise than just a theory.
They aren't using any other gimbal moves. Don't worry video is coming up soon about gimbal moves.
Okay so you criticised peter’s ‘Push in’ shot, I had a close analysis on that. Peter’s walk has a suspension to it and the camera pointed to the subject is insanely stable. Whereas, your walk has vertical shake, which is a big no to me.
People dedicate themselves to a shot, I would lean on that perspective rather than be more cautious about yourself and not perfect the shot.
So sorry, I wouldn’t agree with you on that point.
Can’t you just use a drone?
Are you angry with PM👎🏻 why don’t you do something better than finding false of others
