Hi , I’ve got the new A Class AMG which I got some days ago (not premium or premium plus so I think it’s the same as the one you have reviewed). I’ve noticed that I can’t set the threshold for the speed limit warning as the option isn’t there. That feels a bit weird. Have you heard of such issue with the newest ones please ?
I haven’t used the system properly but does the car give a warning sound that you are above the speed limit? If so, do you want to be able to switch off the sound or do you want to change the speed limit? Please watch this video from 35:12 czcams.com/video/pUVLgkpShIQ/video.htmlsi=kLeSvuiwV0xooAZz which will show you how to switch it off. I think to change the speed limit will require either an “over the air update” or an update at your local dealership which is usually done under warranty.
@@DrSaahb yes it gives a warning sound and I don’t want to switch it off. I just realised that in your video , you can increase and reduce the threshold for warning you when you go over the speed limit . This could be set to warn you when you go 1mph to 9mph over the speed limit . That option just doesn’t seem to exist in two 2024 a class models I’ve seen so far so maybe it’s part of an update. Anyways thanks so much for your very informative videos. You’re doing a great job!
That is strange because the A-Class I did a video, if you watch this video from 15:03 you can change the speed threshold and some other settings under “Speed Limit Assist”. Hope this helps and thank you for the kind words. It does keep me motivated to keep making these types of videos 😃
Hey what’s a simple way of changing songs in this car? I find the screen pressing is a distraction and the touch controls on the steering wheel a bit tough. Couldn’t quite see in your videos but may have missed it. Thanks!
I didn’t mention that in the video. If you watch this tips and tricks video from 5:18 czcams.com/video/Q2lK1n5b9v4/video.htmlsi=3b-YsBEz8WQrVc2z I give you a different way of skipping a song. There is the option of using the instrument cluster too but you did say you find the touch controls abit tough so you might prefer using my tip in the video. Let me know your thoughts please?
How do you change the music track? Either with Apple Car play, blue tooth streaming or a media card. There is a volume control but no track change. Really hoping you dont have to lean out of your seat, take your eyes of the road and use the touch screen. Cars have had track and volume change on steering wheels controls for a long time and seem a good safety feature.
Thanks for the comment. I do agree, having a skip button would have been very useful. czcams.com/video/Q2lK1n5b9v4/video.htmlsi=NYvKzx9YyQhZsSuy watch this video from 5:18 where I give a workaround. I think most manufacturers want us to verbally give prompts to the car, so try saying “Hey Mercedes skip song”. I guess saying prompts is possibly safer than physically pressing a button.
Thanks for the reply. I have used voice commands before and think it would just be so slow to use. I use the steering wheel button on all my cars to flick forward and backward through songs to suit my mood, its my most frequently used non-driving control by far. Which way would it skip if you say "Hey Mercedes skip song"?
Yea I do understand your frustration because I also had a car which had the next or back track switch. If you watch the video I show how it works. If you say skip a song it will change to the next song.
In my 70 plate A Class, if you have media player selected in the centre of the RIGHT screen you can nudge the tracks fwd or back with the right screen controller on the steering wheel.
Yes you can change tracks using the Drivers Digital Infotainment screen. Just depends if the driver wants to display the track in front of them. I will need to try it next time but I think this will be the best work around.

Does this executive saloon come with apple carplay as standard??
Thanks for the comment. This car is a UK car and this car has it as standard. Other countries may have it as an option.

Does Android Auto in the facelift work in full screen? Everyone tests Apple Car Play but not Android
Thanks for the comment. I am an Apple iPhone user. I do want to show how to use Android Auto in the future, when I have sufficient funds from CZcams.
and a question , when i use my pallets to shift up or down , how do you go back from the manual mode shifters to automatic thanks
Thanks for the comment. What I do is select Drive using the stork behind the steering wheel. I find that the easiest way to do it.
Hold the right paddle for a couple of seconds and it should go back to manual.
Yes you can put the car back into auto mode this way too 😃 I prefer using the gear stork to put it back to Auto mode.
