Saw saturn for the first time a few days ago . Ive tried every telescope. Im not seeing much detail like i had hope for with my orion deep space explorer 6 inch dobsonian. I have a 102mm refractor. Same story. But the good news is you can see saturn in even a cheap 60mm refractor. Just not well lol

Yep, you'll need at least 2000mm and 8" aperture to see some details. I've a blog about good telescopes to image the planets here: astroforumspace.com/top-20-telescopes-to-photograph-the-planets-in-2023/

@@AstroForumSpace so i wonder if a skywatcher 200p classic will do the trick?

@@AstroForumSpace I think most people are, especially when it’s about astrophotography.

Yep, I'll keep on doing all astrophotography updates myself, don't worry 😉.
