Hello, I'm using doing the same thing as you but the L2983d has a significant voltage drop. I have 1.1 V but still no supply to the motors. Please help.

I'm connecting hc05 bluetooth module to l293d motor driver attached with arduino with 5v power supply to the bluetooth... But when I connected it blinks for few seconds and stops working and getting damaged.... Also I repeated it with another bluetooth module and the same thing happened to it... Bluetooths getting damaged... What may be the problem??
It requires atleast 7.7 to 8.5 V to work properly, 5v is too less for this
Due to less power it doesn't work cause it needs to distribute power to motors and driver too
