i really really like to hear that BSG is actually tuning into what players are actively wanting. the in-game survey framework and QoL changes that have been long requested are awesome starts to getting the game into the state we all want to see it in

They "listen" now because people hated them for Unheard edition, when the EOD was supposed to be the final one with all DLC. They just dont have money and need new editions / DLC like PvE payed mode etc. Fck them man.

They just copied Arena Breakout, nothing new. In fact it will be worst in PvE with AI "improvements". They still don't shoot scav, bosses or PMCs. They are doing so much shit right now

i hope they changed the ai so it actually shoots eachother as well its annoying to see 3 ai pmcs next to a boss and his 3 guards doing nothing until you walk up and all them aggro only to you

They really need to work on optimizing Streets and fixing their AI.
I wouldn't say Streets would be a slideshow, even on a heavily modded SPT I can play Streets at about 30-40fps (yes, thats not a lot realistically, but this is with a fuck ton of mods that, in particular, affect AI behavior, pathfinding, personalities, etc. while also allowing them to roam the entire map and engage each other while looting and questing). Vanilla EFT should easily hit somewhere around 60+ frames with BSGs lackluster Raider-PMCs and other AI. That being said, that is still really low FPS, especially for a SP experience, so they really need to work on optimizing Streets.
If they fixed their AI, and made it as in-depth as a single SPT modder was capable of doing, then the performance hit might be larger, but that would just give even more incentive to optimize Streets. Better AI would also be a very big win for PvP players, since Raiders and Rogues would be more enjoyable to play against and would feel more live-like.
I think it would be a slideshow with the current implementation - agree they need to work on this as it's certainly possible
Whats your setup and graphics setting
I play with only a few mods a moderate amount of SAIN AI, playing with 2 other people using SPT and FIKA and hosting on my machine. I get around 100fps with a 5800X3D 32GB of lightly OCed Bdie and a 6950XT(which come to think of it should help a fair bit with SAM considering how RAM intensive tarkov is). If I run too many bots I simply run out of memory, this is the case on all maps, but especially streets.
Seeing as my system is no longer top of the line, but fairly well suited for this workload(Aside from the lack of memory) I'd say it's reasonable to expect most people will get a slideshow trying to host a raid on streets. Still, it would be nice to have the option.

@fuxkag3908 graphics won't fix anything, the performance is a processing issue. I'm running an RX6800, R7 5800X? 32GB of DDR4 3200MHz RAM on an NVMe 7100 read and 6800 write. Anything that any game can throw at my PC, it'll handle as long as it's optimised.
Thank god the whole unheard debacle got Nikita to have a serious wake up call. These consistent meaningful updates are awesome. Finally getting things like wishlist is just really nice and long overdue, really wish he listened more in the past to what people wanted but glad it seems to be happening now.

yeah. They should fix this ,and PMCs not engaging bosses or different faction PMCs ,before they let them walk. AI also do not seem to be affected by recoil values and despite their weapons being like half durability - they do not seem to jam. So...

Normally that'd be a funny story, but the animations were disregarded much like the boss ai doing instant reloads. That alongside everything else isn't great news for what they'll add to AI

The PMC AI moving around the map is a welcome change. I struggled to get the "Kill 6 PMCs in the office area on Factory" for WEEKS.
Did it all in one raid this time as they all came over trying to flank me.
I thought that PvE being hosted locally would be amazing... However, whenever I try to do anything, all I recieve is a "Backend Error: HTTP/1.1 504 Gateway Timeout" and it forces me back to the main menu. Can't get into solo raids, only can I join other people's raids.

Seems like an early implementation problem. Most likely something they will try to fix soon if enough people report that.
lots of people thought it would because lots of people think they understand the game code better than they do. I warned everyone this would be a shit show and now it is... cheaters pulling 50000 graphics cards out of local raids, the flea is no longer semi legitimate, and the game people complained about never being optimized somehow got laggier when a lazy company gutted their halfassed practice mode to save on server cost. I dont mind them switching to local, but they never optimized... so now we just get shit on because people kept jerking off to the idea of INSTANT QUEUE TIMES... my queue hasnt been over 2 minutes in months but glad we got this /s

FPS lost on solo PVE is absolutly not acceptable, it's crazy ! I got a 7800x3D and a 4090 and I lost about 30-40% FPS, running at 40-50 FPS on 2k on Street, it's insane. REVERT THIS PATCH.
streets isnt local... even as a solo... but yes it is a shitty change
PVE mode will be amazing for retaining the playerbase for long enough that they are comfortable jumping to pvp. As it was before players were immediately discouraged while trying to learn
As much as it hurts to say... I will remain PvE bound.

Yeah not a chance, if you think any of the players who switched to PVE or came back to tarkov for PVE mode will ever go back to PVP you're insane. PVE literally saved this sinking ship of a studio from drowning, but trust me PVP is well and truly at the ocean floor.

@@Jack-yt1fu loads of people will go back to it, ive got 8k hours in the game and the only reason i stopped playing this wipe after hitting max traders was the fact i worked out that i was getting a cheater kill me 1/16 raids and for me thats a cheater a day and that isnt worth spending any more of my time on. I'm sure my group will drag me back into a wipe at some point but PvE has just been fun to do lightkeeper tasks finally. If you hate the game so much stop watching videos on it and move on with your life, honestly.
I have big 1 question is if you play PVE offline and get item and sell to flea and it no longer server but client, how you know that item is not command spawn by cheater or magnetic loot and instance extract, I'm a bit worry that flea in PVE going to have like 1200 GPU sell like my experience when I use flea markets in PVE first time and see 800 bolt sell at 100 k ruble per bolt

I’m confused 5:20 it says allowing any version owner to get the mark of unheard but only in pve mode, isnt the $200 the only one that has pve mode? So the other version owners wouldn’t be able to use it anyway right?
EOD also has access to PVE mode, and I believe they're going to be giving all players a separate purchaseable PVE expansion in the coming weeks.
Have they said when the PVE mode will be purchasable for non-EOD and non-Unheard owners? I'm just a standard edition andy, but I'd like to get the mode even though I think it should just be included.

This actually sounds surprisingly decent.
After the patch if you drop your bag anywhere the ai will start to beeline to it from anywhere on the map and then exfil with it. you cant leave your bag anywhere other than somewhere a bot can't path to it or somewhere you will have eyes on the whole time.
Yeah, I appreciate their effort but it was a poorly thought out ai update. At least now we can bait the ai.
Bro, i did a SA-58 build yesterday with the help of db4tarkov and got it on green. Felt amazing. Today there is MAD overswing. I double checked with the site and it should be good. Hidden balancing?
How are they going to do update to, quest progression and all that without wiping your pve accont? Isnt that mess up your caracter or what?

I think the reason why scav play still use server is that BSG said they will change scav mechanism to something like randomizing map which inevitably include street.
Love the local change! Beef I know you are a PVP main but would love your thoughts on how PVE plays and optimal strategies. Also just a note on Scav raids, unless they've changed it you don't load in half way though a raid as scav. You just load at the start like a normal PMC raid.
Huh I wonder why you need to use their servers. Probably some oddity behind the scenes that they couldn't get working, and decided that the vast majority play PMC in offline so why bother
As for strategies, I'm not sure if I would do anything differently other than gear up more heavily and probably take more risks, because it is easier to move around the map without getting slapped by a real level 50 PMC!
So do standard accounts get access to pve now? Because I bought the game once. I'm not doing it again for something that should be free. Or bare minimum, affordable DLC. Idc if i never update spt again.
they said if all goes well with the patch then the ability to buy pve would be made available to owners of all EFT versions, and they gave a timeframe of 1-2 weeks if all went well.

PVE is no longer working for me now. i cant insure stuff every second item i move between the stash and the PMC will bug out and throw me into the main menu. if i want to insure anything it gateway errors out of it and after that my entire game is cooked --> hideout is completely gone and i cant start a raid.

PVE seems working perfectly, did single raid, got error after extraction, but before I got into menu.. and all raid and all stuf I did (selling stuff, quests..) was rolled back
so its not working perfectly then...

Nikita already said Ref would be added to PvE. They now have to go and work out the linkage between the PvE account, this takes extra time which they would not have been prepared for because I would say PvE was never on the radar when they were planning to integrate Arena with EFT
@@BladeCA1 they rushed PVE with unheard of edition to get financial injection and linkage etc is something they have to "worry/fix" afterward classic BSG like i like the game and PVE but PVE is just copy of live pvp game with bots so if changes to live game are implemented in PVE gp coins missing barders hell even those boxes from ref you can see in workbench then why is it not linked from get go? i dont get them they do some things well but then they rush something without thinking ahead.... like now that wishlist thingy its just gona bother you when you right click every item and you cant turn in off only notifications...

Will pve get refs new clothing?
For a second I thought i finally could do my streets quests in PVE because the only way I am able to spawn on Streets is in offline pve training mode... In online mode it always crashes when I try to get on a server. Well seems like I still have to wait until I am able to upgrade my PC... Sad 😢

7:11 My theory with the LVPO scopes getting increased spawn chance, has to do with the variable zoom option Nikita teased on his personal twitter. Just means that most of these are gonna be preference of min zoom and max zoom, as well as crosshair style. Honestly think Razor 1-6 and Tango6T are gonna stay fan favorites because of their first focal plane crosshair/reticle, but might end up making things like the S&B PM2 3-12x50 more viable for maps like woods or reserve
What about PVE raid time?
Has anyone else's games been really slow since the patch? I played one raid and things were fine, but when trying to sell to the traders or flea my game gets really slow and i get a bunch of errors, idk if its just me
And its completely broken. Now I get 35 fps on lighthouse and cant even cross the bridge cause they broke the radio transmitter somehow too.
Will there be "normal" raid timers for PVE now?
Tbh, when I had the servers on auto I had wait times of 10+ minutes (frequently going up to as much as 20 minutes for scav) in pve, but selecting a couple of specific servers already reduced this massively, I almost never wait longer than 2-3 minutes now, and very often the match time was around 1 minute, sometimes during the day even instant. Really think "auto" just means bsg puts you on the lowest ping server and does not look beyond that one server for mm, while manually seleting servers it very clearly does as my buddies and me get distinctly different pings to servers (20-40 inside europe, ~85 to US east and west russia, 120 to middle east) during single play sessions.
@ainumahtar pretty sure he refers to ingame match length. Maps like Lighthouse are still shortened and it's annoying af solo if you spawn far 😂
@@basedx. Oh yeah for sure, that would be great, I don't know streets very well or example, and the short time does not allow or a lot of room to walk to the wrong extract or not finding one.

I’d love to just see some good QoL changes that make the game more streamlined and speed up the process in between raids as well as better servers and queue times.
My queue times for pve where no issue at all pre this patch, sub 1 minute most of the time. However now with pve being hosted by my pc, Which like most is not built to be a sever, the game performance is abysmal. Huge step backwards.
Hope this works as intended. Offline raids tend to take alot more toll on your pc

Woods. Want to do "Unarmored but dangerous". I spawn near the Scav Radio tower. Shots fired at me through the bushes. Oh crap, the goons. I somehow manage to get them all with my VSS loaded with SP6. Wohooo. Looting time. AI PMC says "Scav spotted". Oh shit. Get lazered in the head from god knows where.

Currently running anything over 20 bots tanks the performance very hard, I wish they made it better... or at least separated the CPU threads from rendering.

I've seen plenty of ai pmcs kill scavs so I don't know what you're talking about. They even use voice commands acknowledging they got a kill
@@ivanquiles4903 300 hours into PvE, so I think i know what I'm talking about. But if youu do'nt trust me, go check EFT forums to see what people ahve to say about it, you'll be suprised.
Btw, the voice command they use when you kill a scav near them is "Ally down". Because their AI is rogue AI.
Also, I'm pretty sure you didn't "see" PMCs taking out scavs but you heard them from a distance and then discovered that PMC have actually killed scav. But I bet you didn't know PMC and scav don't behave the same way within a certain radius from you.
why in the world would unheard edition have nostalgia when the whole point of the quest is for other editions to get the radio and bigger pockets which came from unheard

Idk how ppl were getting these long load times in pve still. Ive had one weekend where it was 10minutes from ready to raid start, thats it. Even when all of eod got theirs it was similar to pvp. But for a month now i get matched (in a group) on any map in pve in less than a minute.
New customization as DLC would be nice for PVE players who can't use GP coins or interact with Ref.
So I kinda call cap for the Scavs and streets I mean spt is a thing and streets definitely runs
BSG's AI algos are clearly highly unoptimised. Streets works really well without AI in offline, but as soon as you add any scavs it starts to tank fps

I'm sick of my money coming out of random docs or sicc cases instead of my money case so when I swap them out I can't take car extracts because tarkov tarkov'd my inventory

@osbjmg I'm racking my brain to understand this. What am I missing ? I'm at 240 million... A rig full of wallets? Or doc cases? That would mean even MORE containers randomly not remaining full. All I am asking is the game deduct cash in reverse order of fully stacked cash.
A money case is basically free from picking up very common valuables. So why not use it?

The cheater compensation is kind of worthless if they don't catch them to begin with. Lots of people just using walls who go undetected. I have also noticed multiple players banned that I never even got notifications for..

I played alot of spt, but im playing pve. No mods but is always updated, with patches and events, and i cant rage quit altf4 and not lose my gear
@@agostinho6550 Theres a mod that fixes the alt f4 exploit fontaines anti cheat, it's outdated but it works perfectly on current version.

I despise ref and the gp coins. I hate arena so the more they add to do with arena the worse off it’ll be. Arena is just not a fun time. To me. So I refuse to play it. Regardless of what I miss out on. Gp coins in pve mode is aggravating. Why the fuck is it in the loot pool. lol dumb.

I like pve as a dad who only gets to game a couple hours a day. It does seem like spawn locations don’t match the PvP mode and rare loot is even rarer. Wish they would fix this and maybe make the PMCs wonder and loot a lot more than they do.
i find bitcoins and graphics cards on interchange 24/7 on pve, its just some bad luck.
You should try SPT then, its very simple to set up and the mods take seconds to install. Mods like SAIN 2.0, questing bots, and looting bots make the game ai actually feel very close to online as there's different personalities.

@@nemohoes9792 yeah it’s completely offline and it’s literally the same exact things as online Tarkov, no gameplay changes unless you add them through mods. I’ve been playing with SAIN, questing and looting bots, Amanda graphics, realism mod, then swag + donuts. F6 in game opens up the sain menu where you can alter the bot difficulties, and f12 opens up all the mod menus so you can tweak what you like.

right now in PVE insurance is almost 100% since AI didnt loot your stuff. now they will loot you when you die so insurance will almost be worthless. that sucks.
If you are solo when you die the raid is over and the AI can't loot you. If you are in a group have your friends get or ditch your gear.
So almost no point in insuring gear in PvE now?
I don't think they should be incentivizing reporting everyone by compensating for successful reports specifically, but rather compensate anyone who died to a cheater who has gotten banned. If everyone reports everyone in the hopes of getting compensated the reports no longer mean anything. They could also implement (and maybe already have) a hidden statistic for accurate reporting that influences the compensation and how much weight a specific user's report contributes to the overall "sussiness" of a player.
All of that of course only applies if they actually do anything practical with reports. They could essentially just be the bell icon for banned cheaters.
Odds the ai changes end up just being a fork of sain, looting and questing bots

BSG doesn't have people with passion who give a f about optimization - unlike SPT.
Just wish they'd add AI-limiter at 150m to official PvE for solo offline, especially for Streets.. while they're at it: SAIN, waypoints+, questing bots, armands graphics 😂
They'd rather not deal with people running 1060 3gb's and R5-3600's and complaining that "my pc cant run streets what the eff"
Street is just terrible regardless of your pc I have a 12900k with 4080 and I get 60 fps 80 max in some areas but some areas it just drops to 50 which is ridiculous.

Literally for lower end computers - this is not a bad thing. Would prefer it to be a toggle for those of us with decent performance but it's not a negative at all.
The thing pve really needs is better load out for the ai pmcs, currently they have unusable guns with mostly trash armor and no loot, there’s no incentive to waste bullets to kill them. I can kill 5 pmcs per game while still broke because their loot simply isn’t worth the bullets.So pve for me is mostly running to the valuable loot spots while avoiding fights which is really boring
So am I hearing this right....? Offline PVE is identical to normal online raids??

@gigabeef (around 1min mark) dude, what the hell are you talkin' about?! locally hosted games always have the best performance and fps, it's when connecting to their servers that you always get shittier performance and of course lag... it makes more sense to as a reason to prevent cheaters(yeah even in pve) from farming a large map like streets...but even that's a bs reason..

not really, You still need connection to servers, all data like profile is stored there...

you wont get kicked bc the server decided to die in the last 5m anymore.
its not that its "hard" but its just fighting horde mode. could work the ai to change spawns and wander around more but theyd rather just tag and curse you the second you are spotted. basically gotta run 4 stacks of ammo and big mags to play interchange now lmao. they do wander more but not more than 100 meters away usually from their spawn spot. then they screwed bosses im fairly sure. the mall enterance from across the street is just within aggro range from the boss on night raids. i had him chucking a grenade the second i veered out of mvd tunnel towards mall. not just at the edge of the street but the second i was out of the tunnel. so if anyone farms killa be wary they probably undid his LOS
Some already abuse the reporting system, now Its going to happen even more. Bsg just made their work load triple with all the new reports they are going to get. Whats stopping everyone from reporting every single death, just in case the other person happens to be cheating? I know eventually if you report to much your reports arent weighted as much, but if 80+% of the player base reports every single death they cant just push them all to the side. I understand this is something cool and helps the player, but even if the reward is small people will still abuse it.
WIN + G , and pin the upper right corner for performance. This will tell you what your bottleneck is; RAM, CPU, or GPU.
